UTMB Spring 2015 Applicants

Hey Y'all,

I read through the whole UTMB Fall 2014 thread and thought I'd start the next semesters thread (because I couldn't find one). I know the application doesn't close until May 31st, but thought it would be helpful to start this now.

Anybody heard anything about interviews or anything recently?

132 is not bad at all. I just hope I get in. I have a 4.0 science gpa and a 3.87 cumulative gpa. TEAS V score is however, not impressive. Had 83.3 on TEAS V. So will the program be online or the traditional classroom type?

Program is a combination of online and traditional. Sorry I didn't answer you earlier, I guess I didn't read your reply very thoroughly. Your stats are great. Better than mine anyway. I have a cumulative/prereq gpa of 3.76 and a teas score of 75% overall

You also have great stats. We are now waiting for our interview letters, hopefully. So far only one person has been admitted without an interview. I think the one who started this thread

Well hopefully we won't have to wait too long. I got an email Thursday stating that they would be doing interviews over the next three weeks, so I guess we have a little while to wait.

I didn't even get an email stating that they will be doing interviews :( I wonder if they send that to everyone...

I don't think they do. I had attended the recent open house and was talking to one of the recruiters about my stats and had mentioned I hadn't really heard anything. She asked for my email, and a little less than a week later, I got that email. I figured it was because of that conversation.

Jbrown, did they talk about withdrawals when you attended the information session? If so, how many withdrawals are allowed?

They strongly recommended no more than 3.

I got an Email Saying that I have a chance to re-take the TEAS. Within the next 4 weeks.

My score was very LOW: 70%

First time taking it. Hopefully I do way better.. see where it goes.
