UTMB Spring 2015 Applicants

Hey Y'all,

I read through the whole UTMB Fall 2014 thread and thought I'd start the next semesters thread (because I couldn't find one). I know the application doesn't close until May 31st, but thought it would be helpful to start this now.

It's probably nothing to be excited over yet, but I just got a response via email in regards to my follow up! She said that I should be receiving an email soon for an interview Sooo don't loose hope!

I called awhile ago and told me that the committee meets every two weeks and decisions will be sent today or tomorrow. They met today. So I'm remaining hopeful and Good luck :)

I know I have seen it on here before, but it's worth repeating: stay positive! You're still being considered until you get a denial letter :-)

So I emailed the admissions Lady (the one I have been communicating with) and they met on Tuesday. She said "they will be getting decisions out by the end of the week."

I got an interview. I'm at work & I almost cried after laughing. I know this doesn't mean I'm going to get in so I shouldn't get my hopes up but I stay hopeful. I'm happy I got a step further. So nervous and excited

Decisions for every applicant or just sending out decisions for those who have been interviewed?

There is a lot of information from other posters in previous replies, but the best thing you can do is prepared to answer how you plan to accomplish nursing school and your study habits and support system. When I went they told me that obviously if you got to this point your academically prepared, but the point of interviews is to assess whether or not you'd make a good fit for the program. She really stressed how they are like a family there.
