UTMB Spring 2015 Applicants

Hey Y'all,

I read through the whole UTMB Fall 2014 thread and thought I'd start the next semesters thread (because I couldn't find one). I know the application doesn't close until May 31st, but thought it would be helpful to start this now.

I accepted my admission a few weeks ago, however, it still asks me whether I want to accept or decline my admission. Has this happened to anyone else?

Well I had my interview today and now I get to play the waiting game with everyone else. Lol. *fingers crossed*

I had my interview exactly 3 weeks ago and I'm still waiting /:

Does anyone know when they'll be done with interviews? I have not heard anything back yet… :(

My email said I could schedule an interview until August 8...and I'm part of the second round of interviews so that may be the last day butI'mnot sure

This was the same thing that happened the last time I applied… I've called them a couple weeks ago and asked, but they said that if I haven't received any word back yet, it's because they're still looking at applications and I might still be under consideration. I emailed them too and they basically said the same thing, but noted that if there was still no word back by the end of July then I should email for another follow up, which I did Aug 1st… and am still waiting for a response. At this point, I'm just expecting the worst from UTMB. I still have hope for some other schools that I'm applying to :) though, but definitely, big congrats to those who have been accepted. Goodluck to all of you.

I have been looking back at the posts and it looks like they send out emails to a group of people instead of just a few applicants at a time. It also looks like they have been sending out emails every other week, so we might be hearing something back by the end of this week!

when you called, what did you say? You just asked for a status? I never called them last cycle and in the end I just got a denial letter. I was debating on whether or not to call them today.

I did the same thing last cycle, I didn't call at all and just received the rejection letter :/ This cycle, I made sure to call to keep up with the application process. I called a couple days after I received my supplements to see if they received everything. The person I spoke to at that time said that it looks like the only thing that was missing was my TEAS, but she corrected herself and said that they actually had already received it. Then, more recently, which was mentioned in the post above, pretty much the second follow up, in which I called & emailed, the lady I spoke to said that it looks like I'm not missing anything. My status is like what it says on mySTAR, "complete", and if I haven't received anything yet, it's most likely because "I'm still being considered." So she basically just told me to wait. You should call them just to see, it wouldn't hurt. :)

Good luck to everyone that has received an interview. If you call I'm not sure if they will tell you the next time the admission committee meets but you could try.
