I GOT MY ACCEPTANCE! It came through e-mail, so check yours! It just says I'm in and they'll be mailing out packets next week!!!!!!

Congradulations!!!

I actually applied for the summer 2009 BSN program today. The deadline was extended to Dec. 1st, so I kinda waited for the last minute. :icon_roll

Talked to a counselor, and he said my personal statement looked good. I really hope I have a chance at getting in this program. I'm curious how big the applicant pool is for summer.

I got accepted too, but I am declining the offer. So for anyone who did not get accepted, keep your fingers crossed that you are next on the list!

Im in the same boat with RFS got accepted into the Bacc2 program starting spring and I will be declining the offer! So that means 2 people are going to be getting some later notifications!

Bah the Rockets are frustrating! (sorry off on a tanget haha)

I've decided I didn't like the mostly online schedule of classes and felt that I'd learn much more in a class setting with clinicals.

Thus I accepted the Bacc2 at UTHSC-San Antonio. The downside is it's a different town and also 18 months but I feel as if I would enjoy the classroom setting much more than just sitting alone at home going over lectures and notes on my computer :-(

hey everyone, just joined, hoped everyone is well.... I've read several posting regarding the anticipation of acceptance. thuynhle, did u get accepted to utmb or twu? and to u guys out there that got accepted did anyone find out what courses are online. Is anyone planning to visit the utmb campus to make plans for there arrangments during the spring? please let me know so maybe we can meet at a starbucks or something to get to know our classmates. the more the better. its going to be tough for me at least. I havent taken courses in 8yrs. lol...i guess its swim or drown....ha ha

need advice to housing, financial aid and such. are we still applicable for financial aid since we already have a bac? and can u tell me the ciriculum for each semester.

Hey mathwizard, I have applied to the summer 09 program as well. I have been on pins and needles since the deadline back in July. They keep changing deadline date so now its finally passed. I talked with nursing dept. and she told me that they would review applications in December and interview notifications would go out probably January and we would probably know something by February. Have you heard any different?

i'm hoping to apply for the bsn program that starts in may (shooting for may 2010) depending on how i do with the rest of my pre reqs...i think the BACC2 is from jan-dec

to Deb2bRN yeah I have same info. They have interviews 4-6 weeks after deadline. So 1 dec plus 6 weeks would be middle jan due to holidays I am guessing. As for notification on acceptance or not I am not sure. I know UTMB has a bad reputation of telling people 1-2 months prior to classes starting. I am applying to fall 09 also as a backup in case I dont make the cut for summer 09. Also they have been notifying people via email for everything lately so make sure they have a good email address on file for you in econnect and check it dailly. Good luck with all!
