Wow I'm just a topic starter but since no one else has done it i'll start a thread that "might" be useful for others.

Well has anyone else applied for the aCC2 program at UTMB for the spring of 09? I haven't heard back from them yet and curious to know if anyone else has.

Well I just emailed a doctor i know at UTMB i'll ask him if he knows anything :-p

hey guys... i hope everyone is alright with Ike and all.. Day 7 and I still have no power at the house.. =(

Well.. I know that it will take awhile for Galveston to get back on its feet.. I heard on the radio that it might take up to 2 wks for people in Galveston to have power. I just hope everyone is ok..

I just want to say thanks with the updates.. I mean.. UTMB is my first choice and I hope there will be a Spring 09 program... sigh... Im just glad everyone is ok... and we'll hear something soon

Hey Everyone,

I hope everyone is doing well and recovering from Ike. I just wanted to say that I dont think we should people's negative thoughts affect us. I am sure there will be a Spring O9 class. People are just trying to discourage us so we will go elsewhere and lessen the competition. Im sure things will be delayed but they will happen. Katrina occurred at the begging of a fall semester and Tulane transferred their freshman to other colleges for the semester...SOO maybe UTMB will have transfer their Spring class to Houston! I hope it doesn't come down to that, but who knows. We just have to be patient. Good luck to everyone!

Well the doctor I know that works at UTMB says most of the schools im guessing medical/nursing and all of that wont open until OCT 6 maybe sooner if we are lucky :-p

Awesome AznPlyR99! The UTMB website also says that the school of nursing is going to resume classes in October, so that's really good news.

According to the UTMB website, UTMB Medical School Applicants are resuming interviews in October. I expect that School of Nursing interviews will be resumed then as well. =)

Yay! Does anyone know how many students they actually take? I heard a freakishly low number, like 15 -30? Yikes!

i e-mailed the admissions director and she said that for spring 09's bacc2 program, they got 174 applications for 40 spots. at least it's not as low as 15-30 spots
