UTMB FALL 2019

The UTMB Fall 2019 application opens soon on November 15! Have you started on your essay or the TEAS preparation yet? I am so excited and nervous at the same time and have been stalking past threads on AllNurses.

Currently taking AP I and Microbiology and will be taking AP II in the Spring. I hope to take the TEAS by the end of December.

Please feel free to discuss your experience, stats, comments, etc.

Right?! I find it incredibly annoying and ridiculous that they wouldn’t view all applicants prior to making final decisions.

They probably categorize them to divide up and review, maybe it’s by highest TEAS or highest gpa. There’s no way of knowing but they obviously have some kind of system of how they divide them up and decide on the first applicants to be accepted. I know the wait sucks but calling them everyday isn’t going to speed up the process we just have to wait it out!

Retook the TEAS today and planning to reapply since the outlook isn't looking too good and the Spring deadline is in less than a week. Hoping I did better than an 87% this time lol. Polishing up my personal statement and praying this time they'll see I'm a good candidate. Good luck to y'all, maybe there's still hope!

Also, I don't think anyone mentioned it in this forum, but in the Spring 2020 thread, somebody called Mrs. Jones and she said that UTMB is no longer doing interviews. Not now, not ever. I think their transition into not doing interviews put a lot of us at a disadvantage (at least for this semester wave since a lot of us were expecting invitations), but at least we can sort of show them the kind of people we are through a personal statement.
