UTMB FALL 2019

The UTMB Fall 2019 application opens soon on November 15! Have you started on your essay or the TEAS preparation yet? I am so excited and nervous at the same time and have been stalking past threads on AllNurses.

Currently taking AP I and Microbiology and will be taking AP II in the Spring. I hope to take the TEAS by the end of December.

Please feel free to discuss your experience, stats, comments, etc.

Were you waitlisted prior or one of the people in limbo with no emails?

No I was not on the waitlist, I hadn't heard anything yet! I also submitted my app closer to the deadline than a lot of people.

Ah that’s great gives me some hope. I haven’t heard anything and submitted on the due date itself so hope I will get the same luck you had!

has anybody read the past threats and noticed if any of the waitlisted people ever get pulled?

I called UTMB today to ask how waitlisting usually work and the lady I spoke to told me the hardly ever pull from waitlisted list. I hope that isn't true...

What I don't understand is how they can wait-list people or even deny people admission before they have even reviewed all of the applications....

I know. I'm so confused. I was told by Elizabeth Botello those on the waitlist would be contacted first after today, the deadline, next week if they are pulled from the list and there after. I dont understand how they would accept people after some of us are already on the waitlist. Don't get me wrong, that's so exciting to be accepted, but disappointing to those who are on the waitlist and being told we were next.

I just spoke to Chelsea Jones and she said they pull from the waitlist every semester and that we shouldn't lose hope. She however didn't have answers in regards to what I stated earlier.

I was waitlisted for summer 2019 and have heard nothing. Some people have been been pulled of the waitlist though just not sure what number I am. I was denied admission for Fall 2019 so I’m not sure what happened. ??‍♀️

I've also been waitlisted and confused.
