UTMB Fall 2018

Published

Hey! I wanted to make this post because I didn't see a thread for those who are applying to UTMB Galveston Fall 2018. I know application hasn't open yet, but I just took my teas score. I have no idea if it is good enough for UTMB standards. I currently have 40 hours, but by the end of this semester I will have around 53 credit hours. I have no idea how I should even start my personal statement. Would you guys be willing to share your stats? Any questions or comments please feel free to post! :)

My stats are

TEAS:

82% Overall

-Reading: 85.1%

-Math: 87.5%

-Science: 78.7%

-English and Language Use: 75.0%

GPA: 3.9 Overall

I got an email to interview today too!

I got an email for an interview today too! There are plenty of spots for interviews – mine listed interview dates all the way until March 28th. I was told that the interview is mostly questions about your personal statement, support system, study habits, strengths/weaknesses, etc. Good luck!

I GOT AN INTERVIEW EMAIL TODAY!! I was seriously expecting not to get an interview because of my science GPA, so I really hope my stats give some of you hope! :)

TEAS: 90.7%

Overall GPA: 3.49

Science GPA: 2.75

I'm graduating from Texas A&M in August with a bachelors of science in Community Health!

Hey guys I received my interview email yesterday around 2:40pm! I just wanted to say this is my third time getting an interview invitation. I've been waitlisted twice including the Summer 2018 cycle which I am currently waitlisted for. I won't be interviewed again because the interview lasts two semesters so I'm currently waiting to be accepted. For those wondering about the interview: both times I've interviewed it's lasted about 45 minutes, give or take. It just depends on how much you connect with your interviewer and how long you take to ask questions. My suggestions are to be yourself. Seriously, it sounds cliche but you're basically having a conversation with this person. They ask questions and vice versa. Both women I had my interviews with were extremely polite. The only thing they know about you is what is on your personal statement btw!

Wow, 3rd interview invite? That's crazy. I noticed that they started sending them out earlier this year. I have yet to receive anything. Have you applied anywhere else?

@Nursectp, do you mind sharing your stats?

From what I've read on other cycles' boards, it seems like most people who interview get accepted and a few get waitlisted. Does that seem right from what y'all have read/heard? I'm interviewing on the 22nd í ½í¸¬

Just accepted as an early admit!!! Email came at 1:28
