UTMB Fall 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey! I wanted to make this post because I didn't see a thread for those who are applying to UTMB Galveston Fall 2018. I know application hasn't open yet, but I just took my teas score. I have no idea if it is good enough for UTMB standards. I currently have 40 hours, but by the end of this semester I will have around 53 credit hours. I have no idea how I should even start my personal statement. Would you guys be willing to share your stats? Any questions or comments please feel free to post! :)

My stats are

TEAS:

82% Overall

-Reading: 85.1%

-Math: 87.5%

-Science: 78.7%

-English and Language Use: 75.0%

GPA: 3.9 Overall

I am also applying. Finishing up organic chem this semester and using that as my science elective.

Overall a 3.6

Pre req 3.7

Science 3.5

Tease 81

I also have 79 credits and a associates degree

With your TEAS scores and overall GPA you are well on your way their minimum is 2.50 overall and 2.75 in nursing course. You will do great things. Let your personal statement be natural and speak from your passion.

Thank you so much! I'm just very nervous. I attended open house and they said around 800 people apply but only 130 people get in.

That's awesome, do you know what you're going to do for your personal statement?

Not yet, they just opened the application so I'm beginning the brain storming process lol

I submitted my application already, I'm waiting for my transcripts to send through

Did you already finish all your pre reqs? I'm in my last class for nutrition but I finish that sometime in December.

Yes, I already had 40 credit hours by the end of summer semester. I took classes in the summer because I wanted to turn in my application early.

So do you send your transcript to utmb? Or nursing cas?

NursingCas. You need to start your application and attach some form to your transcript in order to send it to nursingcas.

Oh okay cool thanks for the info, did you enter your transcript manually? Or did you pay for nursing cas to enter the information?
