UTMB Fall 2017

Hi everyone!

I cannot believe it's actually time for me to apply to nursing school. It seems like I've been working on my pre-reqs forever now and it's finally here. I didn't see any utmb 2017 fall hopefuls yet so I thought I'd create a thread. I'm having one heck of a time with the application process. I'm taking my teas next Wednesday and submitting my application after that. Has anyone sent in their transcripts through nursingCAS yet? Anyone have any pre-reqs they still need to complete? I have one last semester to finish. Good luck to everyone applying this semester!

I was in the same dilemma! I met with my professors today and all 4 of them gave me the okay to take my finals a week early to be completely finished by May 4th. I'm so excited for my interview!

UPDATE: So Elizabeth said May 4 is a hard deadline (meaning it's not flexible) so if you have a pre-req (like muah) and won't be done until after May 4 with the class, more than likely you will not be able to start with the Summer 2017 peeps.

This will not affect our Fall 2017 apps though!! She said Fall interview invites will start up in a few weeks so probs after the people who were asked to possibly start for Summer have their interviews (if necessary).

I hope this helps to clarify some things! If you want to call her, she is extremely nice and is happy to help!

Does anybody know what they do for applicants who live really far away in regards to the interview?

On feeds from the past, I believe they can do like a skype call! Either they'll ask you or you'll let them know you won't be able to make it to Galveston to do it in person.

Did anyone who received the email about being considered for summer admission instead of fall receive the email about interviews? If so, did your email state that you were being considered/interviewed for summer admission or fall admission?

Yes she did. She told me that I would receive more information regarding the interview via email "soon". I'm just waiting and checking my email every 2 minutes. Lol
