Also, do y'all apply for early admissions? I'm just trying to gauge the stat ranges they're starting off with!

I got an email too! This is great news for me because I preferred the summer 2017 start, but I was not able to apply due to not having enough pre-reqs completed. My finals end May 9th, but I think my last final is May 4th. I'm hoping that it is acceptable!

So if I remember correctly, if they see the Fall class is going to have a lot of applicants, they will consider a few people based on their stats for "early" (meaning the semester that starts before the one they applied for) admission into the nursing program if there is room. I applied for Fall but I guess they are in the boat that they want to let as many people into Summer before they move onto Fall but don't quote me!

I don't know my personal stats off the top of my head but here's what I do know:

TEAS=86

Only 1 pre-req left (TX Government)

I have a bachelor's degree already

Thank you very much! I've never heard of them doing this, and I'm anxious as ever seeing as I expected their normal process to start this week. Congratulations to all of you who've already gotten an email! :)

UPDATE: So Elizabeth said May 4 is a hard deadline (meaning it's not flexible) so if you have a pre-req (like muah) and won't be done until after May 4 with the class, more than likely you will not be able to start with the Summer 2017 peeps.

This will not affect our Fall 2017 apps though!! She said Fall interview invites will start up in a few weeks so probs after the people who were asked to possibly start for Summer have their interviews (if necessary).

I hope this helps to clarify some things! If you want to call her, she is extremely nice and is happy to help!

I got that email yesterday and I was freaking out!! I hope it's still a good sign for us!

I received the same email! I emailed Mrs. Botello about the deadline pre-reqs deadline and as she stated that as long as the course is completed and you have a C or higher you can send the final updated transcripts once they are available. I think I'm going to respond to the email to be considered for the summer term since I'm taking an online class and can finish all my assignments ahead of time!

Cumulative GPA- 3.45

Science- 3.13

Cumulative= 3.59

Science= 3.39

(my GPA's are rough estimates bc I'm not sure how exactly they calculate them)

For those who received an email about the summer program, what are your stats? I'm just trying to gauge what they're looking for in those who they sent it to.
