UTMB Fall 2017

Hi everyone!

I cannot believe it's actually time for me to apply to nursing school. It seems like I've been working on my pre-reqs forever now and it's finally here. I didn't see any utmb 2017 fall hopefuls yet so I thought I'd create a thread. I'm having one heck of a time with the application process. I'm taking my teas next Wednesday and submitting my application after that. Has anyone sent in their transcripts through nursingCAS yet? Anyone have any pre-reqs they still need to complete? I have one last semester to finish. Good luck to everyone applying this semester!

I called Elizabeth from admissions and she said they just started looking at fall applicants this week so it could take anywhere from 2-6 weeks to hear back from them.

Wut?! Well that's nice to know given we've waited a month & a half now. I'm assuming they barely finished establishing the Summer start people. We'll just have too keep patiently waiting to see what happens next for all of us!

Yeah based on last year's forum I thought for sure first round interview request would be going out this week... Thats insane! Looks like everyone has got to take long deep breaths! haha

Also, y'all be sure to check y'all's JUNK MAIL. I've seen that many people in the past had their emails come in that way. Just a warning. :)

I still haven't heard anything! I had been emailing Mrs. Garcia and she told me on 2/21 that they would be doing fall in the next few weeks. Fingers crossed! Do you know if everyone gets an interview?

FREAKING OUT!!!!!! I just received an email from mrs. Botello stating that they are reaching out to well-rounded students that they are considering for the Summer 2017 term. The only thing is they need all pre reqs to be completed by orientation which is the first week in May and my spring classes don't end until the 12th. This probably disqualifies me. Did anyone else receive this email? I've been keeping up with the summer 2017 thread and there are so many students that still haven't heard anything back yet. I'm quite shocked that they are reaching out to the fall applicants to start in the summer. I just emailed her back. My hands are shaking so bad. AHHH!

I only applied for the Fall. I was a late applicant too. I applied about a week before the deadline. I have no idea how I received this email. I was preparing myself to get a denial and to try again for spring. Thanks though!

I got the same e-mail! I only applied for Fall. I'm in the same boat with a pre-req I'm doing that starts in March and will end May 12. My family is also going on a vacation that's been booked for a while so I most likely won't be able to start in the Summer I'm going to see if I can call Ms. Botello tomorrow to see what it would mean for us peeps that can't start in Summer but still want to be considered for Fall! Would we get thrown back into the Fall applicant pool to be re-evaluated or do we have a leg up on some people since they want us to start earlier?? I'm so freaking nervous & I want answers so badly!
