UTMB Fall 2017

Hi everyone!

I cannot believe it's actually time for me to apply to nursing school. It seems like I've been working on my pre-reqs forever now and it's finally here. I didn't see any utmb 2017 fall hopefuls yet so I thought I'd create a thread. I'm having one heck of a time with the application process. I'm taking my teas next Wednesday and submitting my application after that. Has anyone sent in their transcripts through nursingCAS yet? Anyone have any pre-reqs they still need to complete? I have one last semester to finish. Good luck to everyone applying this semester!

Hello all!

I am applying for fall 2018 and I'm wondering if the TEAS scores needed to sent officially through ATI to UTMB?

All I'm seeing is upload it to NursingCas (which I did) but I want to make sure I haven't missed anything.

Yes they send them for you but you have to pay for it. I want to say it was $27 or something like that

Okay, so then yes, I need to pay ATI to send the scores, nursingcas is not sufficient?

Yes because when they give you your scores you can save the pdf but if you submit that to nursingCAS they will make you resubmit them. When you pay for them you can op for them to send them for you or you can download it and submit it. I did both just to be safe.

Oh really? I didn't know they would make you resubmit.

On the application, it says "Your official TEAS test scores are required and should be uploaded below. Composite scores for all areas of the exam can be found on the ATI Individual Performance Profile page, which you will receive after the taking the exam."

On UTMB's website it says "An example of the composite, Individual Performance Profile page required as part of the application can be found here." It links you to this page (https://nursing.utmb.edu/future-students/academic-programs/bsn-program/traditional-track/Individual-Performance-Profile.pdf) so I figured I could use the score report I have without having to pay.

Yeah I thought that too. It just gives you the scores you made for each part of the test, but the one you pay for tells you how many you missed, whether you were average, above average, etc.

Hey guys, I know this is an old thread, but I was hoping those of you who interviewed for the honors program at UTMB might be able to give some insight and advice for that particular interview. Like what questions they may ask, is it a committee interview or one on one, general tips, etc. Thanks!!!
