Hi everyone!

I cannot believe it's actually time for me to apply to nursing school. It seems like I've been working on my pre-reqs forever now and it's finally here. I didn't see any utmb 2017 fall hopefuls yet so I thought I'd create a thread. I'm having one heck of a time with the application process. I'm taking my teas next Wednesday and submitting my application after that. Has anyone sent in their transcripts through nursingCAS yet? Anyone have any pre-reqs they still need to complete? I have one last semester to finish. Good luck to everyone applying this semester!

Overall GPA: 3.91

Pre requisites GPA: 3.94

TEAS: 75. Not so great ������

Nice, You have a good chance. Your gpa is really high. My gpa is lower at 3.8's. I took the teas a 2nd time, but I got accepted the same morning with my old score of 75.

Hi everyone, I am applying for the Spring 2018 semester. I had my interview last Monday, the 17th, and just wanted to ask a few questions. I checked my MyStar today and my To-Do list changed to the one class I still need to take. I've been reading that this is a good sign! I just wanted to ask yall, if this happened to yall and if you got accepted. If you did, how long was it after you noticed your To-Do list changed, that you received the acceptance email?

My to do list changed about a week before I got accepted. Hopefully that's what's going to happen to you too!

I was accepted into every school I applied to but since utmb was closest to home, I chose to go there. I went to a meet at greet that they had....there isn't ALOT of diversity racially if that is a big deal for you. I was the only Nigerian or POC there. Spring semester is always there!!!!

I noticed the same thing. Btw, I was sitting in the front seat and 3rd row from the right side of the room if you remember me (: I was actually surprised at the fact it lacked diversity so much but not everyone was there I don't think. I figured there'd be more men there as well.

It's comforting to know that there's another vet in my cohort. Did you know that you can waive the UTMB health insurance with your VA Health benefits? Just recently found that out and thought I'd pass on that information. It helps not having to pay that extra $1500+ a year for health insurance. If you happen know any other vets attending this fall could you pass on this information as well.

Oh were you the lady with the adorable daughter? Yea it made me feel a little uncomfortable but ehhh I'll get used to it. There were only 2 guys there that day too lol. Very strange! I do hope that isn't the whole class that showed up that day.

No I was sitting 2 seats in front of the lady with the adorable daughter (: and I'm sure that's not everyone!

So you made it in the fall? Thats amazing! I've yet to meet another vet in the class. Hopefully we can meet face to face on welcome weekend (:
