UTMB FALL 2014

I would like to start a thread for UTMB FALL 2014 since there I cannot find one. I am in the process of applying and this is the only school I am applying to. Right now, I just trying to finish my personal statement before I can submit it. I am a bit nervous and excited at the same time.So, how is everyone else doing?

Well today marks 6 weeks from my interview date, February 10th. I was told a decision would be made in approximately 2 weeks, at my interview. I was told by another admission staff member that the absolute max would be 4-6 weeks after my interview date.

Is it still "on hold"? What does your mystar say?

Whenever you all got y'all's acceptance letters, did anyone notice if they were all around the same time? Like in the afternoon/on a certain day of the week?

Both my invite for interview and acceptance were received around 2 or 3 in the afternoon. My my star showed a green check first. I checked my email and hadn't received anything yet. After about 30 minutes to an hour I finally received my email about acceptance!

Good luck Cassidy. I hope you hear good news soon. I continuously had to keep telling myself that whatever happens, happens. You will get in where you are meant to be, at the right time. I know the waiting sucks. Just keep your head up!:)

Is it still "on hold"? What does your mystar say?

It indicates nothing on mystar, just my circle. I had to email to see what was going on, and I got the "on hold" answer. It was very vague though. I suppose that is still what is going on. I wish I was given more information.

Understandable! I haven't heard anything *yet* either, so I am going to consider no news as good news, and keep positive. Until I receive a rejection letter, I consider myself in there! :-)

The professor who interviewed me said that they were looking to add spots, from 120 to 140. Not sure how far in the future this increase will be...a sweet deal if it applies to this cohort!

I was told that this would be the last year they do the accelerated program, so the increase from 120-140 might be in order to compensate for that perhaps.

I'm starting to get nervous! I interviewed on the 12th and still haven't heard anything…I just have that green dot! I was told it would be a week to two weeks before a decision is made, but I with they'd hurry, lol!
