UTMB FALL 2014

I would like to start a thread for UTMB FALL 2014 since there I cannot find one. I am in the process of applying and this is the only school I am applying to. Right now, I just trying to finish my personal statement before I can submit it. I am a bit nervous and excited at the same time.So, how is everyone else doing?

Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted! I had my interview last Monday, so I am still patiently waiting. I was told I would be notified in 2-4 weeks of the decision. So, hopefully something happens soon! I have checked my email and mystar and I have not received anything. So nerve racking!

I received my acceptance email this past Tuesday, 3/18, and interviewed 3/11. A lot faster than expected but so excited. I cannot wait and wish everyone the best of luck!

I got in!!! I interviewed on the 11th of this month and just received my acceptance email. Although I was also accepted to TWU-Houston, UTMB was my first choice! Best wishes to everyone who may still be waiting.

I got my acceptance today too! CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYBODY! I cannot wait to meet yall. Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear.... dont give up hope!:)

Is anyone else having a problem trying to accept admission? For those of you still waiting to hear something please do not get discouraged. Just remember that everything happens for a reason and that there are plenty of people who have been accepted that might have a different school of choice. I know its been said that interviews will be conducted until the beginning of April, but if you ask me that is still really early and anything can happen until then and the start of class. Good luck everyone I have my fingers crossed for yall!!!

I had a kind of middle of the road gpa. Overall it was 3.289 at application time. I'm not sure what my pre req gpa is, but my science gpa, unless they count social sciences is a 4.0.

my teas overall score was in the low 80s. I took it twice. The first time I took it and make an 80 and then I retook it to get an 83 or something. Only because in two sections I made 70s.

All that to say, I would still have hope even if your overall gpa is low.

Hi all! I'm new to this thread and I've been waiting on an interview request as well! I made an 81.6 something on the TEAS and have a 3.8 overall gpa....science gpa is a 3.5....I'm thinking my personal statement wasn't as strong as I'd hoped....:(

@Arollins, did you take classes at UT? I recognize your name! Have you received an interview invite? If not, keep your hopes up because my gpa from UT isn't great but I do think they take into consideration the difficulty of the coursework that the candidates have undergone.

No. I'm at Lamar Univ. in Beaumont and I haven't received an invite yet. My hopes are deflating...:-(

If you haven't gotten a denial letter or email then you are still being considered for an interview. Hang in there!
