  1. I was waitlisted previously in a different application cycle and got accepted off the wait list in June. Some people were taken off the wait list extremely late in the summer. You will be in a time crunch to get everything completed but its not impossible. Thought I'd add words of encouragement since I remember how stressful it was waiting. For the Heb B immunizations, you just need to show that you started them and they should work with you for clinical rotations. You are automatically accepted for spring once they determine that the spots for fall are filled. Good luck! - Current UTMB student
  2. You get your fingerprinting/background/drug test after you are accepted. It sounds like you are already in, but if you are still not sure you should probably just call and clarify it.
  3. I got accepted off the waitlist recently. Not sure if anyone is still monitoring this thread but I figured I would post.
  4. Two in this thread unless I counted wrong.
  5. @jenizv12 - You should send your transcripts as soon as you can. NCAS get a lot of transcripts to go through at the end of application cycles so sending them earlier is ideal. You can always send a follow up transcript later to get the grades updated. Also you don't want any transcripts getting loss in the mail without having time to send another one. I personally sent my transcript last second and regretted it, as it took a few weeks for them to show up under my NCAS and I was worried that they would get loss in the mail. Your TEAS score looks fine, but I am pretty sure you could get a higher score if you took it again and it wouldn't hurt to raise it to an 80% at least. My stats : ( waitlisted for fall ) 3.4 overall 3.6 prereq 3.6 science 84% TEASV
  6. Congrats
  7. Is there anyone who hasn't received a reply back from UTMB yet after their interview? @dm123 - did you get taken off the waitlist for fall?
  8. Should email UTMB and ask what you can change for next application cycle.
  9. To those that were accepted in the last wave, what was the "accept by" date on the email?
  10. There was at least one person in this thread who did say their interviewer was on the admission committee though. I had a friend who interviewed at utmb (accepted and graduated already) that said their interviewer acted as though they did not want to be there, and at the end of the interviewer just concluded with a "bye" and they parted ways. My friend thought the interview went terribly, but they got accepted anyway. The interview seems to be just another part in what they look at overall since it seems as though getting a good write-up by your interviewer doesn't mean you will get accepted (and vice versa).
  11. @ua1217 I sent you a pm
  12. I was told the admission would show up under mystar in June and I would have to accept it for spring. I assume that this is referring to that green check mark everyone has been looking for...
  13. Word for word off the email it stated that. I emailed back to confirm it as well. " If a position for Fall 2014 does not become available, we would like to offer you place in our Spring 2015 Baccalaureate Nursing Program at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) School of Nursing. This automatic admission..." Well I hope I understood it correctly anyway...
  14. Unless I am mistaken, I believe that you can still be pulled for fall admission after accepting the spring admission?
  15. I plan on accepting spring admission yes, I was told official admission letters would not be sent out until June for Spring 2015, and we may still be pulled for fall 2014 admission as well.
