UTMB FALL 2014

I would like to start a thread for UTMB FALL 2014 since there I cannot find one. I am in the process of applying and this is the only school I am applying to. Right now, I just trying to finish my personal statement before I can submit it. I am a bit nervous and excited at the same time.So, how is everyone else doing?

Hey @laceyaaaus this coming tuesday is the 11! I noticed you put Tuesday the 12. I didn't want you confused.

I know I have already asked about interviews, but I have been trying to prepare for mine.

Any advice on the best way to prepare for the interview?

Thanks! I just hope I don't completely freeze haha. And what do you mean by questions? Like about the program? or about how long it will take to hear back or what?

Yes..like I asked about clinicals...when and where they are & about if they do any NYCLEX review stuff during second year.

@laceyaaaus, I feel the same exact way you do! My interview is on Monday and I am just freaking out, but I am also very excited! I just keep reminding myself that it is merely them wanting to get to know me and tell me about their program as well as me getting to ask my own questions.

I had an advisement appointment in last October with them and I am assuming it is going to be something similar to that. Hopefully! Because the lady was so nice and funny, so it put me at ease.

Will anyone be commuting from Houston to the Island?

If I decide to go to UTMB, I'll most likely find an apartment around there. I'm from the Sugar Land area and I couldn't imagine commuting that far 3-5 times a week.

so if we didn't get an email tonight, it's safe to believe we are still being considered for admittance???? I still have yet to receive an interview invite so I'm really nervous/scared. :(

I have my interview today at 3 and I will try to ask some of the questions yall are wondering about such as how many spots are left, and when will everyone know whether or not they make it. Any other suggestions?

I still have not heard from UTMB and I am still with the green circle. I had a dream I was NOT accepted. I think its safe to say I am nervous And maybe a little traumatized.

Did anyone else receive an email today saying there application is on hold and getting another chance to retake the teas and it has to be done before the end of March? Also, every time I go in there I freak out! Any advice to help? THANKS!

@friendswood No, I did not recieve an email today. I still have not heard anything :/ but thats a good sign! I'm sure your score will be much better with another attempt.

Oh wow! It is a small world. How cool. We need to keep in touch if we end up going to school together! Are you going to commute if you end up going to UTMB? Or are you moving down there? (:
