  1. My learning/personality style was Kinesthetic/Global and Calm/Leader. Interesting... Honestly, I don't think I will ever understand how UTHealth does their acceptances and what they factor in. I know from previous threads and other friends that it is like them to sometimes turn down people with really high stats. I'm just kinda glad that the wait/anxiety of getting in somewhere at all is all over with! Haha.
  2. Well, I received my denial letter today in the mail, but I will be attending UTMB this fall for their honors program. Stats: 3.81 pre req 3.75 science 92 on HESI, 890 on Critical Thinking I'll be honest, it felt a little weird for me getting the letter because I've always wanted to go to UTHealth, but it's good to know I already have somewhere else to go this fall. :) Congratulations to everyone who's been accepted and best of luck this fall!! To anyone who got denied/waitlisted I also wish you the best of the luck and I hope you all keep your heads high! Before you know it, we'll all be working as nurses somehow. :) Thanks for all the feedback and posts on this thread! It really helped me out through this entire process.
  3. I received mine by email. I'm not sure if it was sent to my TWU email or my personal email because I automatically forward my TWU emails to my personal email address, but I received mine through my personal email.
  4. You'll park in the parking garage that they asked you to park in on the information email and you report to the college of nursing building at the room they asked you to go to :)
  5. I know someone who just had their interview a couple days ago and they were told by their interviewer that the last interview is scheduled around the first week of April. I'm guessing that after that, spots may be opened up based on whoever has accepted/decline their invitations to UTMB.. That's just my guess though
  6. Check your emails! I also got accepted to TWU. But I will also be declining my spot as I was accepted into UTMB's honors program for this fall. Good luck to everyone still waiting!
  7. I officially paid my deposit for the nursing school and am set on going to UTMB this fall! I was accepted into the honors program today and I was really excited to hear the news and I'm beyond grateful for such a great opportunity! I'm looking forward to meeting everyone this fall! For everyone with interviews coming up soon and for everyone waiting on an admission decision, good luck and keep your head high! :)
  8. I took a look at those and they look so nice! Only problem is that they're pretty far from campus.
  9. Aw I tried finding that on facebook and it didn't show up on my search bar . Do you think you could PM me the link? Thanks!! EDIT: I found it! Nevermind!
  10. I know this is a really random question but is there a facebook group for this cohort?
  11. If I decide to go to UTMB, I'll most likely find an apartment around there. I'm from the Sugar Land area and I couldn't imagine commuting that far 3-5 times a week.
  12. Yeah, I'm afraid that will be the case with me as well! If I end up going to UTMB, then I hope to meet you too!! :)
  13. @AScibby, I GOT MY ACCEPTANCE EMAIL TOO!!!! :) I had to call the school of nursing to have my interview cancelled for the general nursing program, but my honors interview is still scheduled. I AM EXCITED!!! Hoping to hear back from UTHealth and TWU-Houston soon as well, but hearing this news was just awesome!
  14. Which history course did you take a credit by exam? UTHealth takes credit by exam including AP exams and CLEP exams. If they aren't accepting it then you should call them and have them correct it because from the information session that I went to, they said they take all credit by exams as long as it's on a transcript. UTHealth is known for messing up transcript evals so you'd have to call them for any corrections.
  15. WOW! 5-8 people? That's crazy! But then again, now that I think about it, I think I did remember seeing somewhere that they take a very small amount of people for that honors program. I'm more nervous about that interview than anything!! Haha.
