UTMB FALL 2014

I would like to start a thread for UTMB FALL 2014 since there I cannot find one. I am in the process of applying and this is the only school I am applying to. Right now, I just trying to finish my personal statement before I can submit it. I am a bit nervous and excited at the same time.So, how is everyone else doing?

So am I. Do they do interviews?

I've heard conflicting stories about interviews. A friend went to an open house before I did and was told they are not doing interviews. I went in October and was told they were. Does anyone on here know for sure?

I know that the year before last they stopped doing interviews and only started it up again last cycle. But I'm not sure if they're continuing it for this cycle

I remember reading somewhere that they're doing interviews for SOME people. Not all. SO, you could get accepted without an interview.

The advisor I talked to said they are doing the interviewing this cycle. She said people with very HIGH gpa and score do not get interview. The people that they interview are people meet the requirement and have decent grades.

I'm so nervous!! Hearing about there being a certain amount of spots and all.

My overall gpa is 2.8

my teas v is 84

and science gpa is 4.0

my science teas score was 77 :/

what do y'all think!!

Do they also take into consideration what you made on not only the TEAS test all together but also on the science portion of the TEAS?

Just spoke with NursingCAS they are verifying/calculating GPA's for applicants whose transcripts where received on the 6th. Mine was received on the 15th and they said about 4wks. Spoke with UTMB and the guy I spoke with said as long as you submitted the application on time it does not matter how long it takes for the application to be verified.
