UTMB Fall 2011 Applicants

Hi everyone! Just thought I'd start a thread for those who are applying to UTMB for Fall 2011. There are some really great (and long!) threads out there for Spring 2011 and earlier...but as I'm sure y'all know, the application process can change from cycle to cycle, plus it's just nice to have a new thread for us. :) So feel free to post questions, comments, or anything related to applications!

I'm applying as a second-degree student to UTMB, UTHSC, TWU (Houston), UT Arlington and A&M, plus maybe the new Texas State program. Whew! :eek: I keep hearing great things about UTMB so that might be my #1....

A question to start us off: so we can now use either the centralized NursingCAS application, or the application through UTMB, right? :uhoh3: What are you all going to do? I'm thinking of just doing UTMB's direct application....if you do NursingCAS, I think you'll have to do a supplemental UTMB application+fee anyway, so you might as well just do it all once...thoughts?

Oh wow! We definitely have a lot in common! I have two little boys, 11 months and 3 1/2 years. I am in the Clear Lake area, very close to UH Clear Lake. I would love to meet you before school starts if you're interested, have someone to go into this with as newbies!! And nice to have a nearby study buddy ;)

Yup, I am! I understand what ya'll are going through too, on some level. I was never the one left behind though - just the one leaving. Was in for 8 years. I would really love to meet up with some people before August. I have 2 kiddos - a new 3 and an almost 5!

Thats great, we got that mil connection going on and young kiddos. I was worried that wouldnt be any that kids. Yeah we do need to meet up! I am looking forward to that!

Ok, maybe I am doing something wrong, but I typed "Renae1382" into the search on Facebook and couldn't find it...hmm....I typed it in as lowercase, with and without spaces, uppercase...IDK! Lol...it is nice to have two people nearby that have kiddos, understand military, etc. It will help us all get through this together! Can't have too many people in your support system, and I am relieved that some others have kids and are taking on nursing school as well! Whew! :D

Hi my application was supposedly submitted on March 01, 2011... I still had not heard anything on Thursday I sent an email demanding a response, that sent back and said they sent my letter back in the middle of May "to the wrong address" So here I have been waiting for three months why couldn't someone told me this the last 30 times I've asked.... Very Frustrating process!!!

I recieved mine via email, but they also said that they will mail the letter.
