Hi everyone! Just thought I'd start a thread for those who are applying to UTMB for Fall 2011. There are some really great (and long!) threads out there for Spring 2011 and earlier...but as I'm sure y'all know, the application process can change from cycle to cycle, plus it's just nice to have a new thread for us. :) So feel free to post questions, comments, or anything related to applications!
I'm applying as a second-degree student to UTMB, UTHSC, TWU (Houston), UT Arlington and A&M, plus maybe the new Texas State program. Whew! I keep hearing great things about UTMB so that might be my #1....
A question to start us off: so we can now use either the centralized NursingCAS application, or the application through UTMB, right? What are you all going to do? I'm thinking of just doing UTMB's direct application....if you do NursingCAS, I think you'll have to do a supplemental UTMB application+fee anyway, so you might as well just do it all once...thoughts?
Does anyone know how to access the supplemental application if you applied through NursingCAS? I was given an identification number, but I don't know where to use this number in order to get to the supplemental application.
I got my Mystar information too.. but when I look at application status I get an error message saying Firefox can not connect to the UTMB server! Anyone experiencing this?

I have the same problem when I try to access the "application status". They might be maintaining their system.
If it says complete then they have everything they needed from you.
Mine is still incomplete due to my Teas scores. I had them sent twice and I've called. They told me they are still working on uploading information. IF your application says complete, then it has been sent to the reviewing committee. If it is incomplete, it just means they are still working on your application. As soon as it shows complete then that means it's off to be reviewed. Arghhh!!! I wish mine was over & done with :)

Yes- thank you for the information. I want to wish you all good luck. I'm going to be realistic and tell y'all I don't think I'll even get to the interview stage.. I have an okay science GPA and overall GPA but my TEAS score, while above their cut off isn't quite competitive (I didn't study like I should have and ran out of time in the math)... Also- I have some W's on my transcripts and from what I've heard, this is a HUGE no-no for this university. I really, really want to go here, but I'm not even going to begin to get my hopes up for fall. BUT- it couldn't hurt to apply, right?
