Hi everyone! Just thought I'd start a thread for those who are applying to UTMB for Fall 2011. There are some really great (and long!) threads out there for Spring 2011 and earlier...but as I'm sure y'all know, the application process can change from cycle to cycle, plus it's just nice to have a new thread for us. :) So feel free to post questions, comments, or anything related to applications!
I'm applying as a second-degree student to UTMB, UTHSC, TWU (Houston), UT Arlington and A&M, plus maybe the new Texas State program. Whew! I keep hearing great things about UTMB so that might be my #1....
A question to start us off: so we can now use either the centralized NursingCAS application, or the application through UTMB, right? What are you all going to do? I'm thinking of just doing UTMB's direct application....if you do NursingCAS, I think you'll have to do a supplemental UTMB application+fee anyway, so you might as well just do it all once...thoughts?
The letter they sent includes the prereq's that need to be finished. Also says we need to do immunizations, criminal background check, CPR certification, and drug screening before enrollment in the fall. I just got the letter today
I haven't received the letter just the email... Yours came in today?
For those of you who have been accepted. Have any of y'all been able to accept the offer through MyStar? I've already sent in my letter saying I accept the offer and have e-mailed Liz. Just wondering.
Had my interview today---it went really well! I got awesome feedback and am feeling confident! :)
Also, I asked my interviewer about clinicals, and told her I'd been planning to move to the island---she suggested living somewhere between Houston and Galveston instead, because it can be more affordable and we'll be going both places a lot. Just for what it's worth...but I'm still planning to take a look at island stuff. I mean first semester at least, there are 3-4 days on UTMB campus and just one clinical right?
Oh and P.S. for those interested---I was the only one there at that time, although they did have one more application out; didn't someone else on here interview today too? Also, she said my application would go to the committee on Monday so they could vote on it.
My mystar says my application is incomplete, I did turn everything in way in advance. Yet it says I'm missing stuff. They really need to update things. But i've been accepted, so it must just be a technical error. It's really annoying. I emailed them and they said to check by next friday :/ And my letter hasn't come in either. All I have is an email saying I'm in...
Hey Butterfulygarza21, I had the same thing happen to me except I have not interviewed or gotten accepted (yet). I called an some how my TEAS score never reached UTMB? Come to find out UTMB lost it and I had to resend it today!! Just call and double check everything on Monday. I'm sure you are fine.

I have the same issue mines saying incomplete where did you call and who did you speak to cause I called someone today but they said ignore the issue but I am thinking maybe mines has to do with TEAS score also then?
SD56, I called Vicki with enrollment services and she helped a lot. I had to contact ATI and asked them resend my scores to UTMB. Vicki wanted me to send enrollment services my personal copy via email today so they could verify the date I took the TEAS. Talk about frustration! I would call her on Monday just to double check everything :)

hey guysss....i am new here....those who havnt recieved their interview or any kind of letter....dont give up....because when i called they told me to wait until this semester ends and send them the new updated transcript. after the evaluation of that transcript they will make the final decision for Fall semester. and will call for interview......
