UTHSCSA Traditional BSN Application Fall 15

Hey guys!

So the application to start in the Fall of 2015 is due on February 1st. Really, that is right around the corner if you think about it!

Let this thread be dedicated to all hopefuls!

I still have to take the Teas V, but I did buy the study guide with 2 tests so hopefully that helps. My cumulative GPA will be 3.2ish and my pre-req GPA will be close to 4.0. I'm extremely anxious about getting in that is for sure!

Me too. But I would rather be wait listed then not make it in because of my vaccinations honestly. Wait listing could just be because they got a ton of good applicants that cycle. Vaccines is alllll on you. :bag:

On the plus side, I checked out the accelerated thread for summer and they got their supp apps immediately (like us) and they heard about acceptance a month and a half later! So hopefully thats the case for us. I could handle waiting until mid March :up:

Hey how is your transcript acceptance going Bri.Thomas7?

I received an email today from NursingCAS saying my last transcript came in, so I'm hoping that has happened with yours as well! :)

Thanks for asking Noimnotamermaid. my transcripts came in the following day...Thank God!! I was starting to feel a bit discouraged.I'm glad yours came in too. Now we have a fighting chance lol

True true, I put a lot of effort and time AND money into this lol. I really hope I get in but honestly I feel like I won't be disappointed because I tried my best I gave it my all. And if it wasn't good enough for them, I know it was more than good enough for me. At least I'll have my second choice. BUT I WANT UTHSCSA :( lol ok I will be sad if I don't get in but really I'm praying for all of us!!!! I'm glad we have each other for support and that we share information with each other it really does give me a lot of hope! :D

I know how you feel! The only other school I applied to was SAC and I would really rather not go there since its an associates program. But youre totally right about trying our best! We have all done everything in our power to make it this far. So whatever happens will be for the best :cat:

Yes! So happy for you! :)

I feel great about my TEAS and pretty good about my GPA. My worry is that something on my transcript will be wrong due to the AP/DC I took in high school

UTHSCSA is the only one I applied to so if I don't make it I have to wait until the next round.

I applied to UTHSCSA and UIW. When I went to the information session for UIW they said pretty much anyone who met the requirements and passed the TEAS V with a proficient score or above would get into the program if they had space for it, MAX 60ish. With that info it makes me feel confident enough to know that I definitely stand a chance there. And I feel like I have some what of a chance with UTHSCSA despite my 3.0 GPA since I scored an 84.7 on the TEAS V and thats what counts as 59%. A girl can dream

I submitted my supplemental application yesterday... I expected to get an email saying thanks and everything was received like some of you did, and I didn't today! ?????????????

Thats really weird! Maybe they are just going through the process of opening everyones supplemental apps that they havent gotten to yours yet. We are getting closer and closer to the 9th.

You should email Brandy by 3 tomorrow if you still dont hear anything! But Im sure they will contact you
