UTHSCSA Traditional BSN Application Fall 15

Published

Hey guys!

So the application to start in the Fall of 2015 is due on February 1st. Really, that is right around the corner if you think about it!

Let this thread be dedicated to all hopefuls!

I still have to take the Teas V, but I did buy the study guide with 2 tests so hopefully that helps. My cumulative GPA will be 3.2ish and my pre-req GPA will be close to 4.0. I'm extremely anxious about getting in that is for sure!

Hi guys,

I received the supplemental app on Monday. I filled it out online on DocHub, so I could type directly onto the questionnaire and application. Did anyone else do this, or did y'all fill them out by hand, scan in all the pages, and then send in? It seems like such a headache to scan in everything when it could just be done online.

The only thing I physically wrote was my signature. I typed everything else :)

Did you have to print out the typed portion, sign, and then scan it back in?

I'm back! :)

No lie you guys I almost cried when I saw the whole transcript thing, because one of mine has definitely not made it there yet. Someone in a prior thread had told me about the whole postmark leniency, but a friend of mine that is also applying this cycle apparently called UTHSCSA and was told the opposite! Ugh.

It is really scary to me that while the numbers (GPA, TEAS, etc.) seemed to be going up, the applicant acceptance number is going down! I've seen them accept over 150 before, if I remember correctly, even if not by much. But dropping 17 below? Plus they seem to have the same number of applicants each year... Just overall scariness...

If you look at the upper left hand corner of Spring 2015 stats, you will see that 155 offers were made. So the 133 is probably just the total number of people who got all of their stuff done on time (CPR, immunizations, payments, etc.)

So they still made 155 conditional offers last app cycle!

I'm back! :)

It could be because not all those applicants meet the criteria, or some decided to go elsewhere...idk but I hadn't thought of that I'm freaking out :( Why can't they just tell us already I hate rejection :dead:

I've also already completed both documents, paid for the sup app, and emailed them back in one email lol now it really is all about waiting I pray we find out the beginning of March

I did mine all electronically! I was just messing around on my mac and I even found out how to sign it electronically :)

Got my confirmation email today from admissions saying they got my completed supplemental application paperwork. Now all I (we) have to do is sit around and wait, lol.

Oh wow, that makes a little better then. :)

I guess they don't do waitlisting then?

That is a LOT of people not to make it because of that.

I hope everyone who has got the supps has or has started on everything!

I am in the same boat as you are. I called NursingCAS last week and they said they were like 3 days behind of processing transcripts. It doesn't help that they are closed today as well.

I talked to someone from UTHSCSA in admissions and they are aware of the weather conditions in Massachusetts. Hopefully we'll both receive and email this week that they were processed.

Good luck to everyone!

Hey how is your transcript acceptance going Bri.Thomas7?

I received an email today from NursingCAS saying my last transcript came in, so I'm hoping that has happened with yours as well! :)

Hahaha, same girl same. I would rather know up front then stress myself out worrying about it for weeks on end. But would be horrible getting rejected because everyone puts a lot of work and time and money into this.

However, I think that what stephfutureRN06 said is right, its more people either changing their mind or not get their vaxes done.

I was thinking about getting wait listed today :( I would be so devastated if that happened!
