UTHSCSA Spring 2012

Published

I know it's a little early, as applications are due until July 7, 2011, but I'm excited already and want to hear from others applying for the Spring 2012 semester. Anyone submit their application yet or in the process of submitting?

@acmontalvo, I am taking chem II @ SAC with Dr. ********. He decided to push the test back until next Thursday --HALLELUJAH!! :clown:!! Best wishes on your test & thanks to all for the feedback!!

I just wanted to say good luck to all. I'm a current student in UTHSCSA and I just have to say that you will like it :3. If ya'll have any questions, feel free to ask.

Hope that kinda helps you see what it looks like since I'm currently in the 3rd semester and will be graduating when you come in the Spring :D

@WBAN I took chem 2 at sac last sem. I might have had the same professor. I really enjoyed the class and did pretty well. If you need help or have a question let me know. Maybe I can help :) I still have all my notes and tests.

Hey @Meg5G, I'm glad to hear you did well -- HELLO -- If you had my professor, you will understand the "HELLO"! He's a trip! I'm glad I took him because I heard he teaches you what you really need to know in OrgChem/BioChem for nursing. So far I agree. There's so much to learn, but I'm putting in lots of hours and hopefully it will pay off in the end! Thanks for the offer on help!

@friendlysmile, thanks for the info on the schedule. I've always heard Pharm is one of the toughest classes. In hindsight, is there something you wish you would have done to have better prepared? Any tip, suggestion, or advice is greatly appreciated (on Pharm & in general). Also, any tips/info on availability of externships during summer sessions? BTW, when will you be graduating? Thanks for posting!:yeah:

OK, one more thing...can you give an approximation of what you paid for the computers (with all the applications/books loaded) and estimate of what we should expect to pay per semester besides the computers? Thanks....I'll stop before I wear out my welcome :p (I saw the tuition link but I don't understand all the different categories of charges, other than residential/non-residential).

@WBAN

LOL I do get the "hello". yup I did have the same professor. He really is great! Good luck! :)

Has anyone heard anything about when they're gonna let us know if were accepted or not? I wonder how long it will take them to read the supplemental apps.... I hope not long! :D

@emilaine: I heard that we'll find out some time before October, but you know how word of mouth can be. Good luck!

That's what I'm hoping for. I just want to know already! Good luck to you too :)

I just got an email from UTHSCSA containing a social security number request for information that will be used for a background check if I'm admitted into the program. Did anybody else get it? It's called the Personal Identity Documentation Request Form.

We're supposed to fill it out and scan it and return in to the email address provided. I figured people would be talking about it on here... maybe y'all just haven't checked yet?
