hello all,
guess i'll get our thread started. i've watched these over the last few semesters, and it's a great way to share information and get to know each other.
i applied earlier this month, and got an e-mail this evening letting me know that i am eligible regarding my prerequisites. i was surprised to get something back so quickly since the deadline is july 1. anyway, that's the first step in the process...a long, long process. :) hopefully, there will be plenty of us on here to keep each other company.
look forward to getting through this process with you.
Actually, if you look through the thread, you will see many instances of quiet moments where there are little to no posts. It will get busy, then taper off, only to repeat the cycle. It, in no way, reflects negatively on your presence. I am sure you will be a great asset to this community and an even better classmate. As for my previous post, just my usually ill-behaved self.

Here is a rough draft of my current schedule. They have not posted the labs for the day we do not have clinicals yet.
Monday: 9:00AM - 11:50AM Concepts of Professional Nursing
1pm-2:50pm Foundations of Clinical Nursing Practice: Theoretical Foundations
Tuesday: Unknown
Wednesday: 6:30 am- 1:30 pm Clinicals
Thursday: 9:00AM - 11:50AM Pharmacotherapeutics
1pm-2:50pm Health Assessments: Theoretical Foundations
Friday: 7:00 AM- 3pm Health Assessments: Clinical Application
I suspect there might be an error on the Friday labs. Haven't had the chance to ask other students about it yet.

Okay
This is for the people who live in Bexar County and are in need of financial assistance. There is a group called Project Quest that will pay for some of your tuition and for part of your supplies. To qualify, you must not make much money, live in Bexar county, not have a degree, and be willing to live and work in Bexar County for two years after graduation. it takes about 6 appointments with them to get help. First is orientation and 1st round of testing, 2nd is 2nd round of testing, and 3rd is income verification. Here is the number if anyone is interested: 210 270-4690.
