Just talked with someone in nursing department. Snail mail letters only will be sent out on 29 March, Monday, now!!!! What the heck?

Are you serious? Wow, until monday. That means that we will probably get them in either on March 31st or early April. What a bummer.

I just joined... please would appreciate an update from anyone as soon as you hear something... this waiting game is getting worst and worst day by day... they started out saying it'll be sent out 15th, then 19th, then 25th, now 29th... please don't delay anymore..... my nights' sleeps are ruined!!!!

LOVELY,welcome. You share the same feelings that most of us are feeling, I think! I look at it like this, I would rather they take their time and select the best candidates then try to throw something together to meet a deadline. That helps me at least.

That's surely true!!!! If about 500 applicants applied... it's surely gonna take them time to choose about a 100 (ONLY)... But, lets be patient and keep our fingers crossed & hopefully we'll get a positive response....

Is this your first time applying to a program? It's mine. I am feelign pretty discouraged...lots of great candidates out there, not enough instructors or seats to fill the need of those trying to get into nursing! I may try another avenue if I dont get in. I may finish my BS in another field then go for the accelerated or MSN program. Good luck to you and welcome to blog!

Well, I had applied to only one schools last semester but didnt get a positive response... For Fall 2010, I've applied to PVAMU, UTHSCSA, and UTMB. I'm accepted into PVAMU, but that's not my major priority... but lets see what luck has in store for me... just have faith!!!

That's awesome. I applied to Arizona and was selected as an ALTERNATE! So that is why I am feeling pretty discouraged. UTHSCSA is my first pick, so I am praying right now... Thanks, and talk to you again.

WHAT'S UP TO EVERYONE:) THIS IS SUCH A STRESSFUL POINT IN OUR LIVES TO MANY OF US.... I HOPE ANXIETY WONT KILL MY CHANCE TO GET INTO THE PROGRAM.... I NEED HONEST OPINIONS.... I HAVE A 3.95 GPA BUT DUE TO ANXIETY AND IN ORDER TO NOT LOOSE FOCUS IN MY CURRENT CLASSES I ENDED UP WITH A LAME SCORE OF A 78 IN TEAS.... DOES SOMEONE THINK IT WILL KILL MY CHANCES TO GET INTO THE PROGRAM??? GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF U BY THE WAY...

Hey bluescrubbies!!! I have a slightly lower GPA than you... made abt the same TEAS score... I have read people mentioned that they look at several aspects of the candidates... I'm gonna have positive hopes... and patiently wait for the decisions... coz you never know!!!! I guess don't be discouraged.... & pray!!
