UTHSCSA Fall 2010 HOPEFULS!

Anybody applied to the fall 2010 semester? I just received an invite to take the TEAS!

I did the same thing and submitted my NECP package (minus an acceptance letter and Form 48) in December before I left.

I am currently at Al Udeid. What about you? May I ask what base you are from? Lackland? 4N? The 4Ns and provider's here all know I want to be a nurse so they come and get me for all the exciting ER/OR cases. I am thankful for the supportive coworkers.

Were you notified that UTHSCSA was no longer offering summer courses starting with the Fall 2010 class? I talked to someone at AFPC and he said that as long as the Form 48 stated this, it shouldn't be a problem and we could get a waiver to either work at the ROTC offices or at the hospital during summer break. So make sure when you talk to ***** to get the 48, you make sure she puts that on there. I'm currently at Al Dhafra and will finally be leaving next month. Did you arrange it so that you would be notified by email if you got in? I did that and actually found out this morning that I got in. I am actually at Peterson up in Colorado. I'm not in the medical field currently, but hope to be soon. I'm a fireman. Good luck to you and please feel free to contact me anytime with questions or whatever. Take care.

I am getting off my shift soon but if you want to try to find me on the global, feel free. I just don't want to post my name though. I don't think ***** has the form 48. I had to send her a copy of a blank form and she filled it in and signed and sent it back to me, so just keep doing what your doing. Her title is Academic Coordinator. I think she is with SoN, but I will send you her email address via Global.

You know if you talked to someone in SoN, you could probably get the admission stuff emailed to you. Up to you though. Anyhoo, good luck. When are you supposed to be leaving the Deid?

Jeeeze!!! I am getting really worried, I live in San Marcos and figured that if the letters were sent out on Monday that I would have heard something by now, and still nothing!!! This is killing me!

Are we sure that they are sending out both acceptance and rejection letters together. I am worried that I should think that because I still not have received anything this means that I didn't get in! :confused:

IM IN! Mursehopeful and fadedflower, I spoke to individual in nursing department. The Fall 2010 class will be the last class that can take summer courses. I have the email trail on that one if you guys want a copy, so we should be good for NECP. Summer 2011 semester will offer courses, Summer 2012 will not; at least that is what they told me.

murse- did you get a "conditional" letter. Mine says I have to do background check, submit transcripts for course I am taking, submit paperwork, etc. The NECP stuff says that conidtional letters will be listed as alternates??? Do you know anything about this?

Also, I havent doen my AF 48 yet. Did you just email it in or what?

The letter I received said that I was granted admission and that I was part of the May 2012 graduating class as long as nothing came up in my background check (which it won't) and my shots were all up to date. So, I think i am all set as long as the AF gives it a go. I don't know anything about the conditional letters and alternates. I would ask Mr. ***** about that.

For the 48, I emailed ***** a copy of the blank form and she filled it out, signed it and scanned it back to me. I then mailed it in with my package. Let me know if you have any more questions. I would be happy to help. If you want, you can PM me and give your email if that would be easier. Up to you though. Good luck!!!

:anpom:CONGRATS, to those that got in. Hope you pass those vibes my way. I'm still waiting for a letter. Hopefully, I get my letter tomorrow. I just want to know if I'm in, I'm on an alternative list, or if I'm no good :hdvwl:. Will post with the bad or good news as soon as I receive it.

This post was put up on UTHSC FB's wall on MONDAY: "has made the final admission decisions for the FA10 Traditional BSN program. Letters go out today. Look for your notification in the MAIL this week."

This next post was put up today in the morning: "All letters for Admits, Alternates, Denials, and Incompletes/Ineligibles for FA10 Traditional BSN students have been mailed out via USPS. Be sure to check your "real" mailboxes this week."

So, that means everyone, does not matter rejected or accepted should receive something in the mail this week... This wait is surely so killing... it should not take this long for a letter to get somewhere in Texas... uuuggghhh... please do post up as soon as you hear something...

I am curious to see the plan on the Form 48 but I do not see how to PM people in this forum.

I asked a Mr ******* if I could be notified via email since I am deployed and unable to check my mail. He said yes, but I have yet to see any email. I hope that is not a bad sign :( There is always next year though...

Anyway - you can find me on the global if you are at work, Al Udeid, Advanced Find, under "office" type SGPD and three names will show. I am BLB.

Murse- I am still in progress on some courses so maybe why mine says conditional. I will send the 48 out tomorrow. I dont think I have PM rights...I spoke to someone in nursing dept....he told me that summer courses would be last offered for Fall 2010 class. Weird. AFPC told you that you could work at ROTC for summer? You are doing the NECP, right? Feel free to PM me since I cant figure out how.

Hey ew1116, friendlysmile & lovely_kanwal44,

I live in Austin and was getting worried when my letter wasn't here by Thursday. I called the registrar office Thursday afternoon. Rude lady said, "admissions doesn't send out the letters, we (registrar) do. They went to the mail room today, they still have to be sorted. So they'll probably go out Monday or Tuesday of next week." This means not getting to our mailboxes until next Wednesday or Thursday!! I don't know who runs the Facebook page where I've been getting my info, but apparently they're not totally accurate. This wait has been so frustrating for me!! I just want to know so I can figure out my next move. Has anyone else heard this about the letters?
