I encourage you to submit a Better Business Bureau complaint if they fail to process your paperwork. This company is messing with people's future due to their inability to process received documents and then fails to apply appropriate customer service and fix their mistake. The company will not step up their game, or enhance the practices or customer service until enough people file their experiences. I wish you the best of luck... I could not get into the school I needed to be in because of NursingCAS. It is a sad situation for all involved. Keep pressing!!

Sorry to hear that!! I do not understand how any school wants to be associated w/this company. The data entry requirements have zero added value and then to add insult to injury, they fail at presenting any customer service skills. Good luck txspadequeenRN!

They are a horrible company and they too have affected my future because they lost transcripts, fail at offering even the basics in good customer service skills and they are advertising schools that do not use their service. People are paying this company and thinking they are applying to certain schools when they are not. Any school of nursing should seriously demand that they practice better business ethics and enhance their customer service or consider separating themselves from this shady business. I submitted a BBB complaint and a Federal Trade Commission complaint too. They caused me to miss the deadline for UTHSCSA even though I sent them the same transcript FOUR times! Please don't be discouraged but I do hope that you consider filing a complaint as well.

Additionally, I obtained an official transcript from a local college and they refused to load it since it was issued to me. Fair enough, so I had The college send one direct on 11Nov11. When CAS still said the transcript was not received I had them send a 3rd transcript on 9Dec11. Friday was my deadline and it still wasn't loaded so I went back to the college and obtained a FOURTH transcript and had it delivered overnight!! Then CAS emailed (finally a response from them - I nearly had heart failure) and they told me they wouldn't load it either since it was issued to me!! Seriously CAS?!?! Seriously?! They are official, sealed and stamped transcripts! So I guess I have an incomplete application and my future is in limbo. It's been a sad day and I feel defeated by this company.

I believe this company is fraudulently charging their customers by advertising schools that do not participate in this centralized application process. They advertise a list of participating schools and allow their customers to select from the list and the customers are then charged an application fee. However, they have schools on their list that do not actually communicate with. When I learned I selected, and was charged $35, for a school that does not use NursingCAS, I informed CAS in writing. I requested the school be removed from their list and I requested a refund. I was never contacted nor was my card credited. I see that the school is still on this list which I find remarkable as they are now knowingly engaged in false advertisement which leads to the purchase of a service they are not actually providing. I spoke to a *****on 5 Jan 12 @ 0928 and was told a supervisor would return my call in 24-48 hours. I spoke to a *****on 6 Jan 12 @ 1336 (I called myself) and was told they would not provide a refund and I needed to talk to the school. Since CAS is the one who seems to have gained my application fee, I was speaking to who I needed to be speaking to. I was never provided any answers and ***** refused to discuss anything further with me nor was I allowed to speak to her manager. I believe this company is stealing money from people who think they are applying to a school and in reality the school has no ties with this business.

NursingCAS has my blood boiling today. The more I speak with them the more I think they are fraudulently advertising schools that DO NOT use them. Once your card is charged they claim "no refunds." I wouldn't have a problem so much with my loss BUT the school that they said participated has YET to be removed from the list. So how many people THINK they are applying to schools and are not. It is false advertisement that leads to a purchase of a product that does not exist and it is illegal. I'm pretty sure they need to be investigated further! Not to mention I've sent 4 transcripts for one school and they claim they never received them... Really? I went to the school today and got a printout of the dates they sent the transcript direct. They are a shady business and a nightmare to deal with and any nursing school should not be associated with them.

I did think it was more difficult!! Tomorrow is the big day-we shall see!! :)

What do you mean commission goes through the reserves? I'm AF medical for 14 years and this is a new one so I'd like to learn more. Most AF medical are commissioned straight out of their program, head to COT and commissioned... I know of very few medical officers that ever go through any military academy and our reserves are completely seperate. Lemme know! Tks!!

I took VI Dec 2009 and bombed the math portion and still managed an 81.2%. Now I'm studying V. I took the Online Assessment A: 72% Dec 2011 B: 64% Jan 2012. The fact that my score is dropping 10 points every time is NOT giving me the confidence boost I want/need for the real deal tomorrow!!! Ugh!

zx7chelle & MurseHopeful, I am curious to see the plan on the Form 48 but I do not see how to PM people in this forum. I asked a Mr ******* if I could be notified via email since I am deployed and unable to check my mail. He said yes, but I have yet to see any email. I hope that is not a bad sign There is always next year though... Anyway - you can find me on the global if you are at work, Al Udeid, Advanced Find, under "office" type SGPD and three names will show. I am BLB. Congrats to you both MH and zx7!!!!

MH, I saw that but was not sure how that affected us. Is ***** in the Registrars office or the SoN staff? I started to fill my form 48 in already, are you saying that ***** already has the form for the active duty students? I am getting off my shift soon but if you want to try to find me on the global, feel free. I just don't want to post my name though. Murse Hopeful, I did the same thing and submitted my NECP package (minus an acceptance letter and Form 48) in December before I left. I am currently at Al Udeid. What about you? May I ask what base you are from? Lackland? 4N? The 4Ns and provider's here all know I want to be a nurse so they come and get me for all the exciting ER/OR cases. zx7chelle - did you say you were AF applying for the NECP? I am doing that but I am deployed right now - waiting to hear if I was accepted is painful! I would like to know ASAP so I can complete my NECP package and get that in? Did you do the Form 48 yet?
