Anybody applied to the fall 2010 semester? I just received an invite to take the TEAS!
Good Luck to everyone.....
Just to give you guys out there a heads up..... On my facebook account...... UTHSCSA Nursing stated that they were going to send out acceptance letters this Friday for all BSN Fall 2010. Also, in regards to the summer hours.... All course requirements for each semester and the total number of hours will be offered during regular fall/spring semester. The summer courses will continue to run until Class of Dec. 2011 graduates and finishes all there required hours. On the "old" curriculum, 9 hours of elective classes were required and most students took these extra classes during the summer semester. However, all required hours with this "new" curriculum will be meet through the regular semester's classes. One last comment, depending on where you are currrently residing, your acceptance letters can arrive either 1 to 3 days after they have been mailed out. All applicants will be notified during this mail out about there acceptance status. Good Luck to everyone again. And to all that don't receive an acceptance letter, please don't give up. Many students continue to apply and will get in sooner or later. Also, there is a waiting list and I know of two people out of the 125 class members that were accepted at the beginning of January this year before classes started. Dreams do happen, just keep believing and working.

Hello, I am in Houston and also applying for Fall 2010! I want to say thank you to all who are in the program now, and giving us some insight on the program, and the professors. I am currently attending the University of Houston, and playing the waiting game. My gpa wasn't that competitive, but I did well on the TEAS, so hopefully I get in. Good Luck to all of you, and I am looking forward to meeting all of you in the Fall.
Hi scrubsnkicks,I talked to Brandy in the nursing dept. and she told me acceptance letters will be mailed out March 19th-end of March. So now it is just a waiting game......
Is anyone else super anxious??? I am freaking out... My TEAS score wasn't that great, low 80's.. but my GPA was high. How was everyone else's GPA? I am just curious.
3.6 with a 90 on my TEAS. Hopefully that's enough. Good luck to you Islandgirl!

I just spoke to Nursing Dep, they will still offer classes Summer 2011. They will discontinue courses for generic program summer 2012. If anyone is using a scholarship that requires summer courses, you may need to keep that in mind. Good luck to everyone! I am looking forward to hearing from each of you that YOU GOT IN!
