Anybody applied to the fall 2010 semester? I just received an invite to take the TEAS!
Hi Diverted,
I think an 84% is good. It should have ranked you nationally and I think that is in the top 10% nationally! I would say that is not too shabby! The counselors at UT told me it is the "whole person" concept so if you have a good GPA, essay, and financing plans worked out, you should have a good chance!

Made a 80. During the math section my computer lost its internet connection. I didn't finish the section before the time ended. I don't know how much time I had left when the connection ended, so I'm not sure if the 15 minutes of fiddling to get my computer online again counted against me.
On the bright side, I contacted ATI and they let me test in San Marcos at Texas State. This was really great since I live in Austin and getting to Houston or San Antonio is hard for me. The bus between Austin and San Marcos was only $6!
Hello juliieejellybean,
Thanks for starting this thread, I've been looking for a UTHSCA Fall 2010 for a while :) Yea it seems from the Spring posts the avg score on the TEAS seems to be in the mid 80s. I recently took my teas and scored in the mid 80s, hopefully it will be enough for an acceptance letter. Anyone know when they start to mail acceptance letters?
Good luck to everyone, and hope to be in scrubs real soon!
Hi scrubsnkicks,
I talked to Brandy in the nursing dept. and she told me acceptance letters will be mailed out March 19th-end of March. So now it is just a waiting game...... Is anyone else super anxious??? I am freaking out... My TEAS score wasn't that great, low 80's.. but my GPA was high. How was everyone else's GPA? I am just curious.
I just finished taking my TEAS test yesterday. I think I did okay, I guess (87%). I don't know if anyone besides me has heard that they look really closely at the Science portion result on the TEAS. Does anyone know if this is true? I did decent in that portion (83.3%). What did the rest of ya'll get? Anyways, know we have to wait for the letters to get in. Since I have several friends that got accepted this spring '10, they told me that you will know by the size of the evelope. The white envelope will be big (all these forms to fill) if you get accepted or thin (rejection letter) if your not accepted. So I really hope that I get a fat evelope.:)

I've been going through the study guide and it's all pretty simple. If the TEAS is like the examples in the study manual, you should do fine. I know there are a few people I've heard from who've already taken it and most got in the 80's.
