UTHSC Traditional BSN Spring 2014 Applicants

I have seen many threads for previous applicants for past semesters to the UT Houston School of Nursing. I wanted to start one myself as I am applying for the spring 2014 traditional BSN and have yet to find a thread for it. Although I opened it for applicants, I would also encourage previous applicants, current/previous students, and applicants for other semesters at UTHSC to join in and share in this exciting time!

What?!?! I wonder why they did that?? Lack of applications maybe? I hope this works in all of our favors!!

I guess this means we have to wait longer to find out if we are accepted or not...

I think its because some of their info still has the old deadline while some stuff has the new deadline & people probably complained about the confusion. I called like 3 times to make sure I had the right deadline & had everything in.

I applied for Spring and Summer, turned in everything, yet I still have "Initiated" items on my wait list. Who have you guys been successful with when you have called/emailed the school in order to clarify the status of your documents/application?

Lack of applications does sound nice.

I had to speak to the registrars office about submitted documents & SON about Hesi scores.

For me, if I wasnt peaking to the right person they would just transfer me.

So guys I've been thinking and there's around 30 of us on here give or take and if you think about it..they accept around 150 or so depending on the semester and I'm guessing if you guys on here are like me--found this website by googling questions about admissions, acceptances, ut Houston nursing in general, etc which probably means like me y'all are DYING to get into this program, it's all you think about (besides current classes) and getting in is what you want most...I can bet that however many else applied probably are not as motivated since they aren't on here so maybe won't have as good grades and hesi/ didn't know the requirements or didn't have the necessary classes done to get in/ didn't know all the sections of the hesi to take etc....idk thinking positively here!!

^^^ I wouldn't get too caught up in assumptions.

I spoke to the registrar and I have "To do list" item for a transcript that they have received and reviewed (I don't have the eval, but whatever). I was told to ignore that it's on my to-do list. Haha, so yeah... ignore the list I guess :)

I hope the number of applicants stays low lol:). I checked the official UT-H website, and the deadline still says August 15th. Maybe they did extend the deadline for those who were waiting until the very last minute to submit their application by the deadline (I don't think there are many of them). Oh well. I really hope we all or most of us get in (since we of course are the most dedicated ones and the ones the really want to get in lol) :).
