Hello everyone:D
I have seen various threads for previous applicants that applied to the UT Houston School of Nursing. I was not able to find a thread for UTHSC Fall 2016 applicants so I decided to start one. If a thread already exists, I am sorry. I will also be applying to TWU-Houston and UTMB. I know the process is stressful, so I will try to make it easier. I will be attending the May 22 info session at UT and the May 28 one at TWU. I will be sure to update any information discussed in the sessions for those who are not able to attend. If there are any previous applicants, or current and previous students, I would appreciate if you could join and share your experience in the school as well as your application process.
I look forward to talking to everyone who is going through this nursing journey.:)
Ladies, today I almost had a heart attack when I saw an email from UTH. It turns out, it was just a transcript evaluation. I called last week and talked to someone in admissions about it, and she asked for my information (name/dob) and said that she would forward it to someone to be reviewed. For those of you who haven't received a transcript eval, I recommend you call and ask for it, that way you can ensure that at least they'll look at you application.
At this point the only reason any of us should have a yellow triangle is if we're still taking classes. Now the evaluation, I'm not sure. I really hope not because I haven't received anything at all. Mandatory evaluations would be convenient because I'd like to know if I'd have to sign up for classes that they didn't count or not you know?
As I've read on these forums, some people have gotten accepted without having received a transcript evaluation. For me, the main purpose for requesting one was to make sure that all of my classes were counted, and to make sure that id there was an error, I would have time to fix it. Another reason is that I believe that by getting the eval I'm making sure that they look at my application.

I just find it hard to believe they're going to go through all 900 applicants fairly. It doesn't help that we haven't received an evaluation í ½í¸‚
