Hello everyone:D
I have seen various threads for previous applicants that applied to the UT Houston School of Nursing. I was not able to find a thread for UTHSC Fall 2016 applicants so I decided to start one. If a thread already exists, I am sorry. I will also be applying to TWU-Houston and UTMB. I know the process is stressful, so I will try to make it easier. I will be attending the May 22 info session at UT and the May 28 one at TWU. I will be sure to update any information discussed in the sessions for those who are not able to attend. If there are any previous applicants, or current and previous students, I would appreciate if you could join and share your experience in the school as well as your application process.
I look forward to talking to everyone who is going through this nursing journey.:)
I recieved my first transcript eval in February and I recieved another one in the beginning of March because they forgot to add a completed class. I never called and requested one.
Also, I accodentally applied for the wrong program..."rn-BSN" when I was only meant to apply for the BSN pacesetter.
Long story short i applied for both programs...the wrong one (rn-BSN summer 2015) & the correct one (BSN pacesetter fall 2016) & in February I recieved an acceptance letter for the rn-BSN program and their notification date is in March so maybe that's good news that we should receive are letters of acceptance or denial by the end of March.
Lexuslashae, I'm glad you were able to sort out your application issue. I accidentally submitted my application instead of saving it so I could continue filling it out. Hopefully, along with my transcripts, the school will look past my incomplete app. I am a non traditional student in my early 30s. If they frown on my app it will either be because...A) they think I'm lazy and never held a job, or B) they think that if I can't fill out an application, how in the world will I get through nursing school I used to be in charge of the alzheimers unit at a facility but they changed companies and it's a whole ordeal to dig up my records. Oh well, hopefully it works out lol.
I'm sorry to hear but I would like to make a comment on the people in admission. They are very rude. I called and asked why my application is incomplete and she had an attitude with me like I knew why it said it was incomplete. So I never called back and I just hope I get accepted. There's faith.

I applied here and one other school- but this is my first choice and my dream school! I will be ecstatic to get in either one though, but I am going crazy with this wait!
