I have seen various threads for previous applicants that applied to the UT Houston School of Nursing. I was not able to find a thread for UTHSC Fall 2016 applicants so I decided to start one. If a thread already exists, I am sorry. I will also be applying to TWU-Houston and UTMB. I know the process is stressful, so I will try to make it easier. I will be attending the May 22 info session at UT and the May 28 one at TWU. I will be sure to update any information discussed in the sessions for those who are not able to attend. If there are any previous applicants, or current and previous students, I would appreciate if you could join and share your experience in the school as well as your application process.

I can try to call tomorrow, I actually haven't spoken to them since like the middle of January! But I guess what I kind of discouraged me was the lady's tone she was less than welcoming lol but I'm going to try anyways!
I haven't received one yet either. By this point, I'm pretty sure they're getting close to wrapping things up?! If any of you guys get to talk anyone let us know what happens!
I think it's random. Previous future nursing students were saying that it depends on who is processing the information. I hope it all goes well and if you don't get someone helpful don't be afraid to call back. I felt intimidated by some people I've spoken with but realized they aren't paying my aplication fees and they aren't losing anything either way. Good luck to everyone!
I called today to inquire about the transcript evaluation and the TSI still showing on my todo list, and the lady that answered my call was not very helpful. She had an annoyed tone when she was talking to me. She said that as long as I submitted everything by the deadline they would review it, and that they had over 900 applicants for the fall semester whose applications they had to review. I then asked if every applicant receives a transcript evaluation, and she said yes. I will try again tomorrow maybe I will get someone a little more helpful.
Uhhhh í ½í¸ª Good luck to all of us. Uth was a choice of mines at the last minute. I'm at Texas Tech but I have to move closer to home for nursing school so it was all last minute! I'm putting all my eggs in one basket lol if I don't get in I'll try next semester!
I as well put all my eggs in one basket. I actually live near galveston and the drive is going to suck. However, UT Houston is worth it lol. I'm officially nervous. ..900...oh my!
Same here. I only applied to UTHSC because I thought they based their admissions on GPA and test scores, but reading through the posts on this site, it seems as if it is a sort of lottery. I hope we all get in.​If I don't manage to get in for the fall, I'll apply for the next semester at UTHSC and other schools too.
