Hi everyone, I just wanted to begin a thread for all UT Health SON students who are applying for Summer 2017. I didn't see a thread created for this term yet. I look forward to getting to know all of you as we begin this long journey. Feel free to share anything regarding the application process and/or ask any questions that you may have!

For those of you who has incomplete status and got transcript evaluation, does it say "OK" or NO" by the courses that you have in progress? Cause on mine it says "NO", but then it lists all my courses in progress at the very end under "extra courses".Is anyone in the same situation?

My transcript eval said I was all good, but my portal still says incomplete (I'm taking some random classes at A&M)

ive also applied to the summer program at uthsc for 2017. I have a degree in kinesiology from UTSA but wished I had obtained a nursing degree instead. I've completed the science prerequisites with a 3.25 gpa. Not sure of my overall because I never received an evaluation from the school. I'm thinking maybe around 3.3 overall. I'm an EMT-B and have been working 48+hrs per week while obtaining my science prereqs. It's been brutal but everything is completed and submitted and it's in GODs hands now. Reading all these posts has made me very stressed about the acceptance process. Several people I've worked with have been accepted into the nursing program at uthsc and say what a great program it is. One guy I worked with was in the program and still working full time and actually graduated first in his class. He is obviously a genius. Lol. Good luck to everyone that has applied. I to have a green complete dot so let's see what happens.

I attended the information session and think I saw a few of you there but was too shy to say anything! Has anyone heard anything?

I was waitlisted for the Spring 2017 term so I re-applied for summer, thinking that it would give me a leg up but apparently I just get thrown back into the pile:nailbiting:

Did you ask this question at the info session? I remember hearing it. If so, I think I was sitting in the row in front of you!

Also, I have been meaning to write up a full account of everything they covered at the info session. Unfortunately, I left my notes at work. Tomorrow Ill post!

Btw - I still have the yellow incomplete triangles.

One thing she did say at the info sesh, albeit very briefly, was that the applications are processed in alphabetical order. I would bet if we compared last names, we could see how true that is, and where they are in the process.

Also I just wanted to share an observation with y'all. I looked at 2015 and 2016 summer forums. And both years first wave was notified on Thursday ( different dates though). It might be just a coincidence, or a pattern they have.
