UTHSC Summer 2017

Published

Hi everyone, I just wanted to begin a thread for all UT Health SON students who are applying for Summer 2017. I didn't see a thread created for this term yet. I look forward to getting to know all of you as we begin this long journey. Feel free to share anything regarding the application process and/or ask any questions that you may have!

Well my application status has changed to a hyperlink "view application details", however when clicked it does nothing.

So just today, you are the second person this has happened to, which judging by previous application periods, and today being a Sunday, I stand by my initial estimation.

Tomorrow. Winter is coming.

You're probably right...nothing like raising our anticipation even more.

Yeah, I'm done. This is my second degree. 1st degree in Health Education. I just needed to retake the science courses because they were more than 5 years old. I did well on the Hesi and I'm not sure of my numbers on the gpa stuff, but my gpa's are fine because I have good grades, I just don't have the exact number....applying is a huge accomplishment for me and God has the ultimate say so.......

What were your HESI scores?

Hey guys just thought I'd let you know I received my transcript evaluation yesterday on Saturday. Looks like all but my American government class from out of state did not transfer.

My question to you guys is, since spring already started it's too late to enroll in American government here. Does this mean I have no chance of getting in for the summer program at Uthsc since it states ALL classes must be completed prior to admission?

I would say you could still take a late term class at a community college. That's my plan with psych. I found one starting the first week of March at San Jac.

Yes I searched for an American government class right after I saw a few posts this morning and found an online one offered at HCC next month which I was able to enroll into !:) .....but the teacher is rated very low on rate my professor . com haha so I'm a bit scared haha that website is always hit and miss.

Some colleges offer shorter spring term option in addition to regular spring classes. In my college some classes only start tomorrow on Monday February 6th and people can still register for those

Mine also has the "view application details" hyperlink. It doesn't go anywhere when I click it either.

You could try to see if there was a minimester they offered for that class

Mine also says "view application details" but does nothing when I click on it

THat was my first thought as well, for statistics. But, for Lone Star College, the May minimesters don't finish until June, and the start of the UT Summer session is in the 2nd week of May. You wouldn't have the class completed in time.

Do you know on what date exactly the summer term starts? I am freaked out now because my spring classes end on May 11th.
