I know it's early, but I wanted to start a thread for those of us planning to apply to UTHSC for the Summer 2015 session. I am hoping to go the Pacesetter route. I currently have a degree in Communications and I'm finally able to change careers and follow my dream. I'm a high-school teacher that will be resigning in June when the school year ends. I have a lot of prereqs already taken, but have a few to go, as well. I'm currently taking Intro to Pscyh online, will take Lifespan in May, and Intro to Soci and and A&P I & II over the summer.

I just got a transcript evaluation in the mail with a date of 11/6/2014 and I didn't get credit for some classes so will be calling to get this straightened out..
Also, my gap is lower than I had calculated and so disappointed!
For my bachelors in Biology overall 3.254
For nursing pre req 3.634
and for science pre req 4.00
Overall HESI 89.2% with 900 critical thinking
I hope these scores are good enough! I also plan to apply for Fall 15
No transcript evaluation but I have not taken HESI yet - next week!
This admission process is crazy. I specifically asked them at an information session if they evaluated applications as they were received and they stated that they did not look at any applications before the deadline. Thus - my conclusion was that there was no advantage to taking HESI before last minute (which is what I am doing!).
Oh well - just another disconnect on this process. I also have a previous bachelor's degree but from another state so I am concerned that they may overlook some of my classes.
You look like a strong candidate to me - but the logic of their acceptance seems to defy logic. I also plan to apply for fall since we won't have any feedback on the summer application before the fall deadline.

Does anyone still have their transcript on their "To-do list" ? I sent mine a month ago and it still shows up. Also on my to-do list is the proof TSI satisfaction. Does anyone know what that means?
Hey everyone, I applied for the pace-setter bsn starting in summer 2015. I just got conformation that all my stuff got to the registrar's office before the December 1st deadline.
The company that evaluated my international transcript sent the evaluation to San Antonio school of Dentistry. I discovered this just in the knick of time, as they fedexed a copy to UT Houston so it arrived on Wed 26th Nov--the day before they closed for Thanksgiving!
I take my finals for History II and Chemistry this week, and that's all my prereques done. I took the Hesi last New Year's eve. I got a 94% overall, above 90 on all parts, and an 830 on CT part.
Now that the deadline is passed, all we can do is sit back and wait :/

Proof of TSI is some Texas thing that basically says you meet certain reading, writing, Math standards. If you have taken college courses (and passed them), then you meet the standards. proof of TSI will be on your transcripts.
Don't worry about the TSI and Transcritps still being on your to do list. As long as they received your transcripts on time, you're good. They don't always update the to do list. Also, if you are still taking classes this semester (Fall 2014), these two things may remain on your to do list until your Fall 2014 transcript is received.

I had the same Proof of TSI Satisfaction Requirement on my To-do List so I called admissions. The lady said that as long as they have your transcript everything is fine, and that it won't affect your admission decision.
Hello, I am applying for summer 2015. I applied for Spring but was denied due to my hesi scores. I retook my hesi and made an 84 with 850 in CT. My overall gpa is 3.6 and my science gpa is 3.7. Praying for the best. Do anyone know when we will hear back from them about acceptance? Best of luck to everyone!
The last time I called UT, I asked the same question. A lady by JoAnn said we should be finding out in March. I hope it happens much sooner though. Good luck to everyone.
Hey guys! I was accepted for start in Spring 2015, so my acceptance just happened a few months ago. Just wanted to tell you guys that I was one of those people that constantly followed the Spring 2015 forum on applicants and drove myself insane. There really is no rhyme or reason to acceptances or denials for UTH. Just believe in yourself, carry on life as normal and before you know you'll be receiving an email with their decision. Just thought I'd add my two cents about stressing and comparing over these forums. Totally not worth it!
