I know it's early, but I wanted to start a thread for those of us planning to apply to UTHSC for the Summer 2015 session. I am hoping to go the Pacesetter route. I currently have a degree in Communications and I'm finally able to change careers and follow my dream. I'm a high-school teacher that will be resigning in June when the school year ends. I have a lot of prereqs already taken, but have a few to go, as well. I'm currently taking Intro to Pscyh online, will take Lifespan in May, and Intro to Soci and and A&P I & II over the summer.
If you are applying to start in this summer session too, please join in the discussion! We'll need to lean on each other as we go through this tough (but wonderful) process!
Anyone else out there?
Good Luck in advance!
Hello Everyone! I just took my HESI A2 today and I made the following:Reading Comprehension 86%
Grammar 86%
Vocab and General Knowledge 92%
A & P 96%
Math 86%
Learning Style Kinesthetic/Analytical
Personality Style Creative/People
Critical Thinking 900
I studied for about 4 weeks, 1 hr a day with the Elsevier 3rd edition book and Fundamentals of Success QA Applying Critical Thinking for Test Taking.
I' not sure if these scores are good enough. My gpa is 3.6-3.9 with a prior Bachelors degree in Bio.
My weakest subject is the grammar. Well according to the study guide. How did you study the grammar section? Was the grammar part in your exam much easier than the study guide or would you say it was the same?

The grammar was much much easier than the Elsevier study guide. Just take your time do not rush through the sections! You have 4 hours to complete all the sections. I wish I had taken my time and just slowed down. I know my scored would have been much better had I taken my time. I had over one hour left of unused time...
Good Luck!

You did good overall. I hope my scores are similar to yours. Im so anxious and very nervous. I take my HESI on November 5th. ?
When in November? I'm taking it a week before the deadline so I'm cutting it really close! Just as long as it's taken before the deadline right? I made a 74 on the vocab... One point away good luck to the both of us!
I'm taking it next week. On November 5th ? yes as long as you take it before you are good. So this is your 2nd time taking it? How are you studying for the A&P portion?

Hey everyone,
I originally was applying for the Spring semester but I got a 72 or 73 on the vocab section of the Hesi. I know they will not accept me due to that score, so I'm preparing to retake it again and apply for the Summer semester. Anyone preparing to take the Hesi soon? Will it be your first or second time taking it? Good luck to everyone!!!
