I know it's early, but I wanted to start a thread for those of us planning to apply to UTHSC for the Summer 2015 session. I am hoping to go the Pacesetter route. I currently have a degree in Communications and I'm finally able to change careers and follow my dream. I'm a high-school teacher that will be resigning in June when the school year ends. I have a lot of prereqs already taken, but have a few to go, as well. I'm currently taking Intro to Pscyh online, will take Lifespan in May, and Intro to Soci and and A&P I & II over the summer.
If you are applying to start in this summer session too, please join in the discussion! We'll need to lean on each other as we go through this tough (but wonderful) process!
Anyone else out there?
Good Luck in advance!
Does anyone else still have their transcript on their "to-do list" even though they've already sent it? I emailed them and they told me they have everything from me but my application status still says "incomplete". Have they just not updated their system? It's making me a bit worried...
Hi everyone I'm new to this thread. I also applied to summer 2015. I called yesterday and spoke to someone in admissions because everyone on the other thread I'm on (fall 2015) was worrying about transcript evals. They said you have to call to get one sent to you. They are not part of the application process, they are just to see how competitive you are.
She also said they are still going through Summer applications.
Hopefully they will be done soon!
Thanks jskogan for sharing the information. I suspect that the notifications will start with those who were waitlisted from Spring 2015. Those poor people - the process seemed to be quite painful for that group.
I did receive my transcript evaluation as I had requested one earlier. There were several courses missing so I am hoping that they will reconsider. I have a degree from another state so the course naming and number conventions are very different as well as the requirements for graduation.
At the open house this fall, the speaker said that a Humanities class would count towards the philosophy requirement. I had two different 3-hour Humanities classes so I hope they will reconsider them. Does anyone have experience in getting re-evaluation of their transcript? I am hoping that this can be done easily.
I'm getting anxious for some news. I know it will be several more weeks at best. Hang in there everyone!
@TX2015 I am in the same position. I received my transcript eval today and I am getting my degree this may. A few classes aren't being counted. The composition classes aren't being counted, even though I am getting a minor in English. You would think I have enough classes that some would count. I am going to try and call and talk to someone

is there anyone on this forum who was waitlisted for the Spring?
