UTHSC-Houston Spring 2013

Hi,

I am new to allnurses.com and I wanted to start a topic for the Spring 2013 applicants at UTHSC Houston. Where we can keep each other posted on the process as it nears. I have yet to take the HESI but i wonder if anyone else has taken it and what their score was. I will compile my GPA's later and post them on here.

Thank you! I want so badly to go to the information session but I work and I am getting off early on Friday to go take my HESI so I can't do both things in one week :/

If you get any good information, you are always welcome to share here with us :)

I second that! "IF" I get accepted, a study group would definitely be beneficial. And I will definitely be sharing as much info as possible. I'll post as soon as I can!

I'm currently out of the state and I can't attend the seminar myself, so thank you for any information you can provide here!

Thank you all!! Certainly seems like we have a good group of girls here, I hope we all get in!!!! Prayers to each of you and hopefully November comes as fast as possible so we can know! Although, I am hoping that if I dont get acceptance in November that I will be waitlisted, seems a lot of candidates fall through with requirements after acceptance. So there is ALWAYS some sort of hope until the Spring semester starts...

Hope I get to see people from this site. Will let you know all the information that is given out. Have any particular question you want me to ask?

i guess good questions that hopefully they addressed today would be:

1.) how many students are accepted into the spring bsn program?

2.) did they say anything about what seems to be the lowest entrance scores? (although they give their minimums, i know they have plenty of applicants well above).

3.) did they mention anything about what is a huge focus factor in decision making besides general (transcripts, gpa, and hesi scores) what key areas of each?

if i can think of anymore questions i’ll ask, hopefully what we ask they covered in the meeting today!! also did they say anything that would help us understand the process and selection better? anything that can help us relax? or anything that we should be concerned with?

Hey desjt3, I went to the seminar, but there were so many people that they didn't let others join in. They had two rooms for the seminar, and BOTH were full. Wow

So sorry, hopefully others can answer your question.

I figured it would be crazy! That is okay! Did you learn anything worth sharing? Or was it a repeat of info on the website?
