This thread is dedicated to the applicants of UT Houston's Spring 2012 application period. I've seen various threads posted throughout the discussion forum regarding the upcoming application period, but they are scattered and hard to keep track of. Maybe if we keep our discussion in one place it will be easier for us all to follow :)
I'm applying with the following stats:
Pre-req GPA: 3.21
Science GPA: 3.66
Overall GPA: 2.81
I know my chances of getting in aren't great with my overall GPA, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed anyway! Please post your stats, your thoughts, your experiences, ideas and opinions here:)
So i guess heavykey and ariel are gonna go to UTMB, leave some room open for some other people to get into UTHSCH.
You are so funny ChunkyMunkey! Congrats to those who are getting their acceptance notifications. UTMB is a really great program. It really isn't an option for me because I can't uproot my whole family and I'm so far away. BUt I'm jealous! I wish I knew for sure I was getting into something. There needs to be a 12 step program for those of us who have an addiction to logging in to utlink
thanks guys for all of yall supports :) ..... i also got excepted to prairie view nursing school as well ..... but if i dont get into ut houston i will go to utmb..... just because i hear nothing but good things about utmb and how great there program is ....... prairie is also a good school but everyone says how unorganized it is??? any advice or add info, thoughts, comments?? :)
I have heard the same thing about Prairie V. Being unorganized. I have a good friend going to UTMB and she loooooves it!! They are really helpful and want to see you succeed. As opposed to TWU or UT-H were I have heard they try to weed people out. A lil scary since those are the two I am waiting to hear back from...yikes!
i will do fine :) ...... im gonna have to compute for a semester and then try to move to the island ... but i think it will be worth it and also pv program is 2 1/2 years opposed to utmb being just 2 years
I can't wait to meet everyone too! I think a celebration will be in order as soon as we hear from these schools. Good news or bad news....I'm goin out for a lil decompression when this is all said and done!
I'm so anxious at this point that an acceptance letter would feel about as good as the graduation itself. Am I the only one who has gone on to utlink this morning? I guess I love to torture myself :)
