Hello everyone! This thread is for everyone applying to the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. I believe they will be accepting applications from January 15-April 1, so the sooner the better! Their admission requirements are pretty standard:
Minimum Pre-Req Gpa: 2.75
Minimum Science Gpa: 3.0
Minimum HESI A2 score: 75% or higher on all required sections - math, reading comprehension, vocabulary/general knowledge, grammar, anatomy and physiology, critical thinking.
My info is really not that competitive, but I'm going to give it a shot anyways -
Pre-Req Gpa: 3.30
Science Gpa: 3.0 (Barely cutting it! )
Overall Gpa: 3.28
Hesi score: 93.3% overall, with my lowest score being a 90.
My gpa is not the best, but I still have 3 more classes to finish this semester, and I'm aiming for all A's! I think the best thing I have going for me is my HESI scores.

Hi all! I'm new to this forum and so glad to have found it. I'm also nervous that UTHSC doesn't seem to have received my HESI scores. I also took it really late (Dec 31). When I called last week, they said they were going to input them this week. Maybe it's being entered chronologically? It' just so nerve-wracking since it's so close to the deadline. I just hope that it'll disappear from my "To Do" in the next day or so!Good luck to all of you!!!!
Hi! I am new to this site but I'm also applying to UTHSC houston for the bsn program. I was kind of in the same situation as you. My 'to do' list had both transcript and tsi satisfaction(which can be found on the official transcript) on it for a while even though I had my college sent them my official transcript twice. It still showed that my application was incomplete so i called the registrar (had to call a few times to finally speak with someone) and the person told me that they had received my transcripts and that I was tsi satisfied and that he would update my account. So now it shows that my application is complete even though I have only completed 54 hours just like you. I would recommend you talk to someone about that again and confirm the information.
I was also concerned that my HESI scores had not updated because I had taken my HESI on December 29th. I checked back today and that has been removed from my "to do" list! Hopefully yours has updated too! :)

I talked to them yesterday and they said they have received my scores they just have not updated MyUTH yet! It is such a relief to know that my application is complete and my stuff arrived in time! Now it's just the waiting game! I'm so glad they updated yours too!

How exciting!! You must be so relieved! I spoke with them again today, and they are still missing 1 transcript I spoke to the school that should have sent it, and they did not send it when I made the request. I don't believe UT will be receiving it in time so I will be driving there on Friday to drop it off in person to make sure that everything is completed by the deadline. I don't like waiting until the last minute to finish everything, but I guess I can't depend on anyone but myself!! :) It's down to the wire...now the waiting begins!!

I understand exactly how you feel! I'm applying to UTHSC and TWU and my school did not send my transcripts to either of them (after 13 requests!). I literally just got back from Denton because I drove my transcript to TWU myself yesterday. Fortunately they both now have them and the applications are complete. I don't blame you a bit, good job for staying on top of everything! I wish you the best of luck and I hope you get everything straight on Friday!
Does anybody know when the infamous first "holds" are put on there? My application says I have No "holds" & No "To do". My next question I have is if I have applied to a school and been accepted but never even registered for a class, would I need to submit a transcript? I applied to Alvin some time back when I still was considering doing the ADN program. Would I have a transcript with them? Thanks!

As far as the holds are concerned, I'm not sure when they first come up...maybe after the application deadline? I do not believe that it is necessary to include a transcript from a school that you never actually attended. Of course, I would recommend checking with the registrars office just in case! It would be a shame to miss out on a great opportunity because everything was not completed properly!

They also accept transcripts by SPEEDE if your school can send them that way. Also you can always carry them in in person and know for sure that they are there! I hope this helps! Good luck!
