  1. Hey guys! I am a J1 at the Houston campus and I love it! Our deadline was February 1 and I received my acceptance email (quit stalking your mailbox ... I know you do:up:) on March 29! My best advice is to read any book that you might want to or watch any movie that looks interesting now because once you get started all that is way behind you! Plus it will help take the pressure/anxiety out of waiting so long for your response! I wish you all the best of luck!
  2. "For those of you who completed your HESI test at a prometric site, about how long did it take for the school to remove it from your "To-do" list? I called and they said it goes directly to the school of nursing, they evaluate to make sure you passed all sections by the requirements and if you did then they send it to be placed with your application. Just wanted to see about how long it took for others..." desjt3, Mine took about two weeks before they took it off of my to do list. Best advice I can give is to call and bug them about transcripts, tests, immunizations, etc. They unfortunately do lose things or forget to put them in. Be on top of your stuff. Keep emails they send you back so you have reference for later if needed. Best case scenario is ask them to take the things off your to do list while you are on the phone with them so you will have confirmation from them and then it's off your list and you can breathe a little! Best of luck to you!
  3. For anyone out there still on here! Does anyone know for sure when the deadline is for payment on the Summer Patho class? I've tried looking at the website but it is a little confusing ... I think it is May 29. Also is anyone going to do a payment plan for the summer and if so do you know any information on it? Thanks!
  4. namtx07, Nothing? I would definitely call them and see what the status is. I'm sorry that happened to you, I can't imagine how frustrated you are! sorayah, Congratulations and welcome aboard! I can't wait to meet everyone next week! As far as places to live they should have all kinds of information on that next Friday! At the open house I went to they had booths set up for different apartments and such. Jobs are really endless depending on what you want to do. I work part time at a hospital in TMC and I know the hospitals there are always hiring! All my family is in Dallas and I think it has more fun things to do than here! Maybe I just haven't found the right places yet! I can't remember the exact number of students for Fall but I was thinking give or take around 100. Anyway I hope your move goes well and look forward to meeting you next week!
  5. I'm really not sure. I'm hoping they will talk to us about it next week. I know it's how they handle refunds I'm just not sure about the process. I wrote asking if I could use it as a checking account. I work part-time and was thinking about going ahead and opening it to put my pay check into and use it just for TWU expenses. I'm curious too if we are registering for classes next Friday if we can go ahead and start paying on our fees ... I've got so many questions for them!
  6. Awesome, good to know!
  7. Congratulations! That is so awesome! Every little bit helps! Mine has said pending for like 2 weeks now and I keep willing it to turn to awarded! I've been checking every day as well. I emailed some people yesterday asking about the OneCard stuff and asked them twice when we would find out about scholarships and no one would answer me! Oh well I guess I'm supposed to learn patience through this! :)
  8. Did u get a transfer scholarship? For that one mine says pending and all the others say applied for. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
  9. Has anyone found out anything or gotten a scholarship? I have one that says pending ... Anyone else have anything like this through STARS?
  10. I have no idea on that one but that is a great question!
  11. pochizkim, I have had blood titers done and my insurance covered it 100% and my insurance is not that great! It was a headache for me as well. I finally went in and talked to my doctor and it was a coding issue with the office and the insurance company. Apparently there were multiple ways to code for the titers and my insurance would cover one and not the others. I got the right code information and went back to my doctor and asked them to code it so they would cover it and they did. I don't know if this is the same issue you are facing but hopefully it is because it was an easy fix once I discovered the problem. I would call your insurance and ask about the coding issue and then double check with your doctor's office! I hope this helps! I wish you the best of luck!
  12. I'm coming solo!
  13. lol I was hoping for more in the packet as well!
  14. RadioSue, Congratulations on your admission! As far as the May 4th goes ... to my understanding they are going to give us information there about the background check, who does it, when to do it etc. The immunizations I think can be turned in then (what is completed) then if you have anything else later you can fax in. I'm no expert though it's just what I've gathered from the piece of paper I received! Best of luck to you and I'll see you on the 4th!
  15. Thank you candeeeeeeXD! I think it's just one of those things if it's meant to be then it's meant to be. There is a reason for me not being accepted there! Don't lose your hope, hopefully they'll take you! If not at least you have a back up plan!
