Hi everyone! I did not find a thread for fall 2015 UTHSC applicants so I decided to create one, sorry if there is already one. I am going to be applying to Prairie View A&M, UTHSC, and Lone Star College (with UTHSC being my first choice). My current stats are:
Science GPA: 4.0
Overall GPA: 3.9
I am taking my Hesi test this Saturday. I'm fairly nervous about it so I'm studying non-stop until it's time to take the test.
I'm looking forward to talking to everyone else that is applying! :)
Like you I wasn't expecting to apply for the fall 2015 semester but I recently took the hesi on the 27th and I completely tanked on anatomy with a 68. I studied flashcards on quizlet and the elevier book. I know UT only takes 2 Hesi scores so Im thinking of just withdrawing my application I can't retake it before the 15th because 30 days won't have passed and I don't want to waste my second attempt and mess up again.
Hello everyone! I was accepted for Spring 2015 admission. Just a heads up... make sure you guys are on top of everything. Make sure they receive everything and that it is correct. E-mail or call them until you get a response. Good luck!
@chancec13 Just an FYI... you can take it before the 30 days, UT doesn't give you a time restraint before you can retake. However, if you are applying to other schools, then that may be a problem. I retook mine and put all my balls in the court for UT. But I was going to take the TEAS to apply to TWU and UTMB. I was not too fond of going to Prairie View or any of the other schools that take the HESI. I really wanted to go to UT =).
Congrats! That's awesome! What were your hesi scores? Gpa? I don't have all my pre reqs done... I'm missing 4 , which im taking in spring... I hope it doesn't stop me from getting in.
sw18, when did you find out you were accepted? did you receive the course evaluation that several people have mentioned in other posts? Also, did you repeat any of your classes to get a better grade?
I just got off the phone with admissions. They told me that they are still working on inputting December Hesi scores. They have not received my transcript yet so I am currently trying to get ahold of someone in the registrars office. With this being so close to the deadline I am really nervous!
I have been emailing back and forth with somebody from the registrar's office, so try contacting them that way. I sent my transcripts in and they were received, but my status in myUTH is showing incomplete because I have enrolled for spring classes at my current school and they have not input grades for the spring 2015 semester. The registrar cannot take my transcript off of the to do list for this reason. Maybe this is why your transcript is not showing as received on myUTH?
Hope y'all had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year. I took my Hesi on the Dec 27th. I feel like i didn't do too well. My highest grade was AP and it was 88%. My overall was an 85%. I already submitted my transcript on the 17th, and was just told they received it. My Hesi scores have not been updated online. I am praying that I can get in with these scores.
I just spoke with a representative (not Registrar's because no one has been picking up within the past three days? I'm not sure) and I asked her if my scores/transcripts have been received. She told me that all the items on my To-Do List have been initiated, and that they're just evaluating them? I hope they can get it done on time since the deadline is literally right around the corner.
Does anyone else's status say initiated? The lady told me that all the transcripts/scores should be in by the deadline and I just hope they can update quickly.
My status has said initiated since before I even sent my transcript or Hesi scores. I am going to call the registrars office and the admissions office tomorrow to check up on the status of my scores.
I got all my transcripts sent today (even though one has incorrect information not related to prerequisites). Hope to meet you in the fall! I am super nervous since I am older, and I got my first degree from UT Austin years ago and was out working in private education from the time I graduated until I started taking classes to finish my prereqs in Fall 2014; I am a little out of practice at actually being in school.

All - I applied for both summer and fall semesters. I took the HESI before Thanksgiving and am still waiting for it to be posted and removed from my to-do list. I actually spoke with someone before Christmas and was told that scores would not be uploaded until after the holidays. I am still waiting.
Also - if you are still enrolled in classes, the transcript for that college will remain on your to-do list
Patience is a virtue here. My suggestion is that if you took the HESI and sent your transcripts, sit back and relax. We all have a long wait. :)
