I was told they would accept by the end of February! If you don't mind sharing, what's your GPA and HESI score? I just don't know what the average applicant looks like and I want to understand better!

Hi! based off the webinars you have been in do you think you may have a general idea of what they tend to accept? I got an 85.2 overall on my HESI and a 3.78 GPA and im really trying to get an good feel if I have a pretty good chance.

Hi guys! not rly sure how to use this thread LOL but my GPA: 3.67 and HESI: 88.4%, hoping it's good enough!! good luck to everyone:)

Those are good stats ! It sucks how it is very unpredictable what they accept. And did you take bio and chem HESI ? Cause I think they only look at A&P.

Thank you! I just wanna gauge my chances of getting in. And no those were my GPA grades for Chem and bio but I only took anatomy on the HESI

Good luck to you too!  I’m sitting at an 85.2 HESI and a 3.78 GPA so hopefully that’s good enough ?

Hello Everyone, I am currently in my undergrad and don't have a degree. In the previous institution portion of the application, do I leave it blank or put no degree? I also attended a community college for the Summer, and I wanted to know if I put non-degree seeking for that portion?

Hi everyone!

I figured I’d hop in here as I may be in class with some of you come May :-) (Hopefully all of you!) I was accepted for Spring 2021, but unfortunately I had major surgery 5 days before the semester started, so I had to defer until Summer. I won’t have to reapply as I already have a seat.

Anyway, just wanted to say hello! And best of luck to all of you!

By the way, since I know it will be asked (I was always curious, too :-)) ... First time applicant.

Overall GPA 3.96

Prereq GPA 3.96

Science GPA —- Not sure, I didn’t look to see how they calculated it.  I’ve only ever received one B in my college career and it was in Chemistry :-P So, the science GPA is less than my overall.

HESI: 95%

Hi Alicia,

Honestly, I’m not sure exactly what they’re looking for. Of course they look at pre-req GPA, science GPA, and HESI —- but they’re also looking at work experience, prior degrees, etc.

There were several people who had 4.0’s across the board, or close to it, and scored high on the HESI, while others (based on the GroupMe of those applying for Spring that then ultimately got in), had closer to a 3.5ish (give or take), scoring in the 80’s on the HESI. So, I’d say you definitely have a shot.

I know for me, I was worried I wouldn’t be accepted as I had only completed 9 of the required 16 science hours at the time of application (I know they say you can apply with 8, I just assumed they’d rather take someone without the contingency of having to finish them all before the program start date), but I was accepted. So, if you have any outstanding prerequisites at the time of application, I wouldn’t be worried about it or feel as though it will hinder your chances as long as the minimums are met.

Hello guys!

I've applied to the Summer 2021 term back in October. For those of you who have attended the webinars and who have been accepted, I'd love to hear your feedback as far as my chances go for getting accepted.

My stats:

3.65 Prerequesite GPA

89 HESI

3.5 Science GPA

I also would like to know if anybody here knows when final acceptance letters/waitlisted notifications are sent around? It would really help with the anxiety LOL. Good luck to us all!

So, I don’t know the listed decision date for Summer, but for Spring the decision was supposed to come out by November 15th ... they started changing the portal for approvals on the 19th of October (I think, give or take a day).

Hi! So glad I came across this forum. I applied a few days before the Jan 15th deadline (decided to go for it super last minute!) If I calculated everything correctly, my stats are around:

Pre-req GPA: 3.3

Science GPA: 3.6

HESI overall: 92%

Good luck to everyone!!

Hello everyone! I know some of you applied before or have spoken to admissions. Does anyone know if they give consideration for a previous bachelors degree or honors? I graduated Magna Cum Laude and it shows on my transcript. Just wondering if they care about that.

My stats:

Pre-Req GPA: 3.67

Science GPA: 3.5

HESI: 92% overall

Hi guys! So I’ve been trying to find out the exact number of applicants, however I haven’t been able to get in touch with the BSN coordinators. Does anyone know how many people applied to the 2021 Summer program and or how many applicants tend to apply? And how many do they tend to accept? With covid, has anyone been told anything like they’ll be accepting less or they had less applicants?

I’ve heard for past semesters, the total applicants was around 1200ish. Their acceptance rate is right around 10%, which I’ve heard is slightly higher during the Summer semester as less applicants. I know for the Spring, they actually offered seats to closer to 160ish I believe. Not sure if the same will hold true for Summer.
