UTHealth Cizik Summer 2021 - BSN

Published

Hello everyone!

I've been looking around for a UTH - Pacesetter BSN forum for Summer 2021; haven't found one so I'm going to start one here! This forum is for anyone applying for or just curious about the Summer 2021 application cycle (deadline Jan 15th, 2020). If anyone has any questions, concerns, worries, or anything they'd like to share during the process then you've found the right place! We're here to help each other out. Best of luck!

I’ve always heard they offer seats to 120 applicants, sometimes just a few over. Also that Summer usually gets around 1200 applicants. Fall getting quite a bit more & Spring usually gets the least. It’s nice to hear that they accepted around 160 this past semester! Hopefully in the coming semesters they will be offering more seats, especially when there is a very high demand for nurses as there is a shortage.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to share my stats to see if I'm in the safe zone. I heard that their acceptances are pretty unpredictable so I'm a bit nervous

HESI SCORE: 92.8

Math: 96

A&P: 96

Grammar: 96

Reading: 86

Vocab: 90

GPA: 3.9

SCIENCE GPA: 3.9

Hi everyone, I sent in my application on the 10th of January and I have not received the email that contains me user ID and password yet and I was wondering if it usually take that long for the email to be sent out.

Hi! If I remember correctly, I got my login and pw 24 hrs after I submitted my application.

Hello everyone, I’m going to share my stats for other applicants to compare. This is my third time applying.

Overall GPA: 3.74

Science GPA: 3.75

HESI: 95.2

Reading: 90

Grammar: 96

Vocabulary and Knowledge: 94

Anatomy and Physiology: 100

Math: 96

Hello everyone!

I also applied to the Summer 2021 BSN Pacesetter, my stats are 3.75 Overall & Science GPA, HESI 88%

This is my third time applying- the first time Fall 2020 got denied, Spring 2021 got waitlisted.

I know people who have been accepted the first time with similar GPAs and HESI scores.

I keep hearing that it's a lottery system, and I believe it is.  But don't lose hope I've heard that they get fewer applicants in the Summer start date.

Good luck and stay safe!

That’s so scary to hear because we have similar stats. I have a 3.78 and an 85.2 on the HESI. But I will hold onto hope for the fact that I have also heard the Summer is the least competitive. What does it mean when it’s a lottery system?

Were your stats the same the first time you applied?

Does anyone else still have their HESI scores on their to-do list? I took it on December 12th.

No I took my HESI Jan 11 and I didn’t see it on my To-Do list by the next day. If you used the school code it goes to UTH automatically but If not you have to request it to be sent to them and it could take up to 22 days from when you request it I believe. They probably don’t have your scores in, but I would call to double check.

I took mine on the Dec 18th and it’s still on my to-do list too.

That makes me feel better that it’s not just me. Did you sign up for the test with UTHealth’s code?

I did. Yea I know a friend who applied before and it did the same to her. So hopefully they received our scores. I’m probably going to call soon.
