UTH Cizik School of Nursing BSN Pacesetter- Spring 2020

I thought I'd start this feed now. I applied in January. I know I'm early but I'm not much of a procrastinator. I just retook my Hesi and got a 89.2.. I feel I need to take it over but, some people are saying they don't even know UT's selection process. Can anyone enlighten me on that?

Did you apply anywhere else? I have competitive stats too, higher than some who have posted acceptance, but having gone through this process with UT before I know that they just can't take everyone who is highly qualified because so many people apply! At the end of the journey we are all BSN, RN, it won't matter what school you went to!

I've already been accepted to U of H's program, so I at least have that. And still waiting to hear back from TWU. I just want as many options to choose from as possible. And yeah, in the long run, I'll get my degree and I'll be happy. ?

For those of you who aren't going to accept, are you going to wait the full ten days?

Hey , do you know the number to call if you want to speak to those in charge of the immunizations

I don’t know if I am going to accept yet, but also don’t know when I will feel confident in my decision. Just praying through it right now! I won’t hold the spot any longer than I need to though.

Congrats! I applied to TWU also so maybe I'll see you there! Best of luck in wherever your journey takes you!

Hey guys J2 here and for those of you confused here's how the semester go by. If you look at their website where you can see all the classes divided by semester, those are your classes. The first semester you'll take all of those 1st semester classes and for the second semester for you guys will be during the summer and you'll take those during that time and so on. Pretty much 4 classes and a clinical every semester until you get to your 4th semester which as all clinicals. And yes the summer semester aka your J2 is gonna be so fast paced since it's shorter. But you guys can do it!!!

You'll have a spring break and then a week or so off before your J2 and then another week or so off before your S1 and finally close to a month off before your last semester. For Thanksgiving you'll have a couple of days off. Here's the calendar: https://nursing.uth.edu/currstudent/acadcal.htm

Also here's a more "in depth" and a little confusing calendar with all the dates like registration, holidays, final exams, tuition due dates, etc: https://www.uth.edu/registrar/calendars/academic-calendar-academic.htm

I got an offer yesterday as well, however, I’ve already accepted admission to UH’s second degree BSN program. I really enjoyed the interview process and love the people I’ve met. I’m torn though because UTH is much closer and I like the fact it’s in the medical center. Is anyone else in the same boat?

ANy emails today?

Congrats to everyone who got in. I'm applying for the Summer 2020 group but have been watching this thread for insights. Has anyone got health insurance for their family though the program? Does anyone know how much it is for a family and what the coverage is like?

Many thanks
