UTH Cizik School of Nursing BSN Pacesetter- Spring 2020

I thought I'd start this feed now. I applied in January. I know I'm early but I'm not much of a procrastinator. I just retook my Hesi and got a 89.2.. I feel I need to take it over but, some people are saying they don't even know UT's selection process. Can anyone enlighten me on that?

So I haven't received an email yet. I suspect that because I haven't been accepted but... do they not inform people if they weren't accepted? Is that a thing? I would just like confirmation either way about my status. ?

I have a friend that applied for last semester, and she got a denial. She said her status changed before she got an email. So she says if it's still under RV, there still might be a chance.

Don't give up hope! They send out acceptances in waves and there still could be more coming. Also if you are waitlisted you still would have a great chance of getting in.

Thanks! My GPAs and HESI numbers are competitive, and I have a Bachelors, but who knows. My status hasn't applied on the site but I'll keep an eye on it.

I had a nightmare not just about being rejected but actually being yelled at by a UTH staff member for not being good enough. Oh boy. I'll be over here trying not to be an anxious mess if anyone needs me, lol.

Anyone know what letter grade you need to maintain in your prereqs in order to maintain acceptance (lol)

I had those nightmares too, it’s just our fears projecting on us. I even had nightmares where my application got lost and I check my portal and it says disqualified, the waiting period is really trying, but don’t lose hope.

Minimum C, science might be a B, I would look at their website or email Joann to confirm

Did you apply anywhere else? I have competitive stats too, higher than some who have posted acceptance, but having gone through this process with UT before I know that they just can't take everyone who is highly qualified because so many people apply! At the end of the journey we are all BSN, RN, it won't matter what school you went to!
